It could be just another geological phase. I do not quickly buy into human activity is 'causing' global warming...I think that is just propeganda to further a political cause. However, human activity has definately polluted and trashed certain areas and we should all be more considerate of our 'waste' and impact on society...but human activity as the demise of the planet? I don't think so.

Simply put, no it isn't just a continuation of finishing an ice age, humans impact the Earth far too greatly for it to be purely natural. Besides, the last ice age was assumed "finished" by around 1850.
Global warming isn't exactly what its name is however. Global warming can just be called "climate change". More energy gets trapped in Earth's atmosphere causing more and more harsh weather. That weather can be warm or cold. So there is a chance of it melting the ice, or there is a chance of it bringing us into another ice age a lot sooner then it should happen according to history.
As of now it does seem to be warming Earth's atmosphere however. One of the reasons it isn't so noticeable is because of carbon deposits, some of the excess CO2 is being stored within them. If we ever lost them however, the Earth's temperature would increase dramatically.

Ice age have to do with natural cycle that affects the way earth orbit the sun and its axis of rotation (there may be other factors). Global warming refers to rise in earth's temperature due to increase of green house gas.

I don't believe that there is any global warming. People have only had the technology to track weather for the past hundred years, that's it. The temp. has gone up only approx. 1.5 degrees. Who's to say that it won't drop a degree over the next 100 years? or perhaps go up a little more, then drop, etc..

Only if you believe the earth is flat and you only have two brain cells to rub together. Global warming is a scientific fact. The evidence is astounding - see An Inconvenient Truth.

No. Right now the spike we're seeing in global temperatures and the ice retreat is completely off the trend line.

It's increased solar activity. Please refer to my previous best answers on this topic. I don't mean to complain, but I don't want to have to type it out again. But please refer to them. You will learn something.
