Jack,
How do I begin with you? Jesus has forgotten no one. I think the main problem, is that you are in a church, If I can believe that(Jack Meoff?). Jesus came to the earth, to deliver a message to the human race. It is both simple, and elegant. "The Kingdom of God, is within you". This message has been lost in the junkpile of man made religions. When we come to God as humble children, and invite Him into our hearts, He sends His Spirit into us, and bonds with us. We become new creatures, part mortal, and part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom, become the foundation of all our choices. We have embarked on the Path of Eternity, and we will never be the same again. Perhaps the real problem, is that you have forgotten that He is your Father. We often overinduldge in things, because we are uncomfortable with ourselves. When you finally begin to realize the great importance that God places on His children, you just might start to love yourself. When you do, the urge to bury your pain in physical pleasure may subside. I also encourage you to learn about living and raw food. I have found that when your body is properly nourished, it stops demanding more food. Don't worry about what Jesus can cure. First heal yourself of being seperated from God. You will be amazed at what happens next.

One of the fruits of the spirit is self control
Jesus went 40 days without food to get the mastery over his body
then when the devil tempted him to turn rocks into loaves of bread he refused. Saying that he wouldn't use his power that way. then later he did mircurously provide more bread so he could do it. He chose not to.
If you don't eat more than 1400 calories a day you won't be fat.
Count calories and stop eating when you have had enough.
After that you become a glutton and thats condemed in the bible just as an alcoholic is.
Very few things in this life we have control over, thank goodness what you eat isn't one of them. Your stomach doesn't have a brain let it use yours.

Jesus doesn't just walk around curing things like obesity.

If you don't have a medical reason on why you are so large, Jesus can only guide you within your heart to help yourself in finding a way of not being so large. You must put your faith in him and let him lead you down the path you need to travel to find the strength and willpower within yourself. And Jesus hasn't forgotten you or anyone else. He waits for us to let him in our hearts, lives and souls.

You can do that on your own by being moderate in all things. If you are out of control it's up to you to bring your weight down. You can pray to Jesus to help you with the problem

He's given you the cure, you just have to follow it: exercise regularly, eat a balanced low-calorie diet with many fruits and vegetables, and prayer for the strength to endure.

Yes, God can cure obesity but he has his helpers for that. Like the personal trainers.

If someone is overweight it is their own fault unless it is a sickness or something. All you have to do is workout and if you don't work out (when everyone knows obesity effects your health) it is lazy, and slothfulness
