He is probably trying to establish his role in your colony (home) with Him as "Top Cat" (alpha) and you as Queen and he is being possessive of you and his territory.. If needs to be socialized slowly first don't give him attention when he does it have your friends first ignore him and if he attempts to intimidate them have them clap their hands loudly saying NO and not showing fear after awhile instead of ignoring him have them start to sweet talk him, give him treats if he tolerates them in same room. Usually a loud startling noise distracts their attention if not try water bottle or crating him and keeping him in room with everyone. Beware by giving in to him only makes him think he has won, you are "The Boss" so you must always end up the winner...

He sounds funny and feisty. Have your friend bring over a treat, whatever Wolfie loves, like TUNA maybe. See if he will then warm up. Otherwise, just a quick squirt with the water bottle might encourage him to stop that aggression. :)

You can pick him up and lock him in your bed room. Or you can let your cat loving friends try to deal with Wolfie. one might succeed at taming the cat.

A squirt bottle with water works wonders for cats, However sometimes a non harmful beating is in order.

Get a kitty tote kennel and place him in it while you have vistors. Your cat is protecting his territory. He loves you and sounds like he's a protector. Your guard cat. :D You may just have to keep him seperate form any one if he is that way with your visitors.

ItalianRose knows what she is talking about...it was going to be the answer I would give.
The solution is to reward when having good behavior and ignore or time out when not.

I had a cat just like that. Loved me but no-one else. If He's making a mess. when your friends come around. put him outside until they leave. Or in a room that he's comfortable in. He should be okay then....Hopefully lol....................

um...first change his name. Sounds like Eddie Munster's pet. No wonder he has a 'tude.
NEVER insult a cat by naming it after something in the canine family.

he is protective of his territory and doesn't want strangers there. He needs to see that their ok and try to get him to be more social.
