I have to "go" every 10 minutes or less whenever I drink too much water. Why is my body not retaining the water that I drink?

Your body can only hold so much. Pure water has zero calories and nothing else. Only purpose is to hydrate you. Nothing to break down, flows right through. Only way you would seem to be retaining would be to sweat it out while working.

Every ten minutes may be a little much but you are on the right track. I recently read that something like 60% of Americans are dehydrated. Water is nature's elixir. It keeps you healthy and strong. It helps control stress and weight. It can help prevent disease and illness. Water is surprisingly important to good health, both physical and mental. 8 to 10 glasses a day is the recommended intake. More if you are in a hot or cold climate. Yeah, cold! Who'd of thought it? Don't give up your water.

Your body isn't supposed to retain the water, what it is doing is flushing out the impurities and toxins that are in your body via urination. This is good, get them out of your body. Your bladder will learn how to respond to the frequency of your water intake, if you are not used to it yet. Takes time if this is new to you.

your kidneys are flushing out and your body just has to catch up with whatever hydration you need. keep drinking a lot of water and you will balance out

attempt calling your vet maximum have somebody on call after hours or on week-ends and ask them if that's a ingredient effect. My first wager may be the meds. yet no longer being a vet that's all that's, a wager. solid success and desire that's all that's.

It does, but you can't keep in all the water. It only keeps what it needs. If you're still concerned, see your doctor.
