Why feed the ants?
It seems they are quite skillful at finding their own food. If you feed them there will just be more ants.
Communion wafers or unleavened bread or soda crackers are just that. Bread. Not particularly tasty, and not all that nutritious.
They become significant when we take them as the representation of Christ's body. When Jesus gave this example at the Last Supper he wasn't talking about bread, he was talking about the sacrifice of his life and body. Would you feed the body of Jesus to the ants?
I think if you could and did Jesus just might be offended, although possibly not.
Personally, I think you are trying to be disrespectful and funny and Jesus might even laugh at your joke.
I do think you need to keep an open mind and an open heart. If you are going to church I hope you are getting more out of it than some communion wafers to feed the ants. If you aren't you could probably sleep in Sunday morning and derive more benefit from that activity than you get going to church.
Good luck.

Your question is a really good example of how screwed up religion causes people to become. I am not an atheist, in fact, I am very much a spiritual person....but to feel guilty over a wafer??????? Come on! Don't you think that God/Jesus/Allah/The Great I Am have better things to do than to judge you over something so silly as this? Feed the ants! Feed them all the wafers you want!

no jesus wont be offened he endured more troubling things than communion wafers being fed to ants. if anything it would probably cause him to feel sarrow about like it caused me to feel when i read the statement. the good thing is your still breathing and as long as your alive you have a chance to be forgivin. and if you die without christ then feeding communion wafers to ants will be the least of your troubles. besides those wafers are only crackers i always thought they looked like oyster crackers but the thing is they are only communion wafers to believers, true christians, if your not a true christian then i dont expect you to have the same respect for them as i do take and crumble them up in your chili if ya want i dont care true christians understand what those things mean and repersent we would never do something like that they are too sacred to us but the world doesnt view them that way so why should i spend my time dwelling on what people do with them my opinion isnt going to change it so yeah do what ever you want feedem to the birds puttem in your soup until you truly meet jesus will you really understand what they are for whether you meet in this life or the one to come but when you meet him youll know then the thing is if ya wait till the next life its too late then to meet him ya need to take advantage of the oppertunity God has givin you now and dont wait too long

Is this even important?? If you're not going to eat the wafers, then don't bother going through Communion. If you want to feed ants, I'm sure you can find something else at your house.

The Chuch would be more offened with you for not taking the symbol of Jesus' body into you and wasting their blessing of the wafers than Jesus would be.
A better way would be to ask the preist if you could take home any leftovers to feed some of Gods creatures instead of letting them go to waste.

In my own opinion as well as my own religion (I'm not atheist) no he's not offended. I used to get bread and I'd feed it to my birds, and I turned out just fine. Plus a wafer is only adding food into your belly. Do you really need a wafer to stop that stomach of yours from growling? No, I'd want the whole thing of wafers if I have to sit in a church for 2 hours. It's either feed me or I sleep through the whole service. (One reason why I changed religions)

The sacrament of communion is about symbols. The wafer is supposed to mean something to you. If it doesn't, it's just bread. But why waste your time in church if being there doesn't mean anything to you. Leave the open seat for someone who does. Jesus doesn't care about the bread, only you.

I am sure Our Lord Christ Jesus wont be offended if you feed the wafer to some of His creatures. Its what is in your heart that counts.

It amazes me that people are answering this seriously.
Actually you can buy communion wafers at religious supply stores -- the big ones with the illustrations printed in them would make great party snacks!
