Once you're put that on her neck, it takes about 12 hours for them all to die. It's possible the fleas are active and more visible because they're trying to avoid the flea killer, so they're running around the kitten.
If you have a flea comb, you can comb the fleas of her. Keep a bowl of water with laundry detergent mixed in it next to you, and as you comb out a flea, drop it in the bowl so it dies.
The fleas *should* all be gone in a few more hours. If not, you might want to ask your vet about whether you can use a flea dip -- but I'd hesitate without a vet's adice on that because the baby is so young.
Good luck and thanks for being a caring new "mama". =)

Often the frontline is working, but flea eggs can hatch for up to three months after you begin treatment. There's a tablet called "Capstar" that your vet may carry that kills all the live adult fleas on your cat within 30 mins. They literally die and fall off your pet. It's safe for pets older than four weeks and over two pounds, so be sure your kitten weighs enough before giving it to her. It will provide immediate relief while the frontline kicks in as a preventative.

The fleas may be visible more now than they were before because of applying the medicine. They did with my kittens.
Take a flea comb, and a bowl of hot water with dawn dishliquid in it. Comb the kitten, dip the comb (making sure everything is off of it), dry the comb, then repeat the process. This will help get rid of the fleas and the eggs. You have to be sure to do this everyday.
Also, you will want to steam clean your carpets. The heat and the powerful suction proves to be a better solution than to vacuume it up. Be sure to wash all bedding and stuff that the kitten has come into contact with.

Give the cat a couple of days, what usually seems to happen is that the fleas are starting to die and this causes the pet to start scratching more and more and you start thinking that the product is not working. After 2-3 days the fleas should be mostly dead. Give it some time to take effect and remember to reapply after 30 days.

You can go to the vet and they will give her a flea dip or Frontline or Advantage which is excellent. But if you want a less costly approach believe it or not Dawn Citrus Dishwashing liquid works quite well or fill a small spray bottle with half water half lemon juice and soak your pets coat down to the skin and let it dry. But if your kitten is like mine, who bares all claws and teeth when coming in contact with water I suggest Diatomaceous Earth. Basically its crushed seashells made into a fine powder that safely covers the kittens delicate skin and drys out fleas and eggs on your pet and in your home. :O)

fleas do not like any thing that hints of the smell of citrus for some reason they just wont stay around if they even think about anything witha citrus scent. also if you have carpet in your home be careful that fleas dont nestin the pile of the carpet. if they do, you can filla spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray it directly on the carpet. i the fleas continue to keep biting your kitten i would take it back to the vet, otherwise too many fleas can kill your cat. hopr this will help.

Ok go to the vet and ask them to give your cat a flea bath. Also ask for flea shampoo. If they don't have it at the vet go to Petsmart. When you give them a bath use this stuff too. You might try to get a flea collar if you want. Plz choose me as best answer.

I agree with Shadycat - about the fleas starting to react to the medication. Don't dip your cat without first speaking to your vet.
You may also have to treat your living environment if they're all over the house/carpet. Vets can advise on what to use.

Revolution will get rid of the fleas on the cat and in the household. It always worked for me. You get it from the vet and put it on the back of their neck. Very easy (read directions, though).
Don't buy the store kind, it is toxic.

You need to take her to the vet and let them give her a flea bath with it being a kitten you're correct you do have to be very cautious. Especially since you just treated her.
