I see some of the answers on this site and it deeply saddens me how A LOT of Christians are bashing people when it says in the bible that we shouldn't do that. How are we to show people that God is good when we act like devil spawn? Hasn't anyone hear of "kill them with kindness" which in fact means that we live our lives as an example of God's love for all of us? Or, "do unto others"? My heart hurts deeply over this. Thank you and God Bless all of you.

If they say that they are non-Christian to answer the question about who I consider to be non-Christian. As far as why do I say that some non-Christians and some Christians are behaving badly, well, we all have eyes and can read some of the answers that I've gotten thus far and what we read on other answers from both sides. I used to be a non-Christian myself but now I believe so I've been on both sides of the coin and my intention is NOT to bash either side. My point is that we are all human beings and all deserve respectfulness from others. The reason why I posted this question is because I read some horrible answers from Christians to a question asked by an angry man. It hurts my heart no matter who is getting yelled at. There is a big difference between a debate and just being mean.

Sometimes we become more of this world than of God... regretfully that is our human nature to fall, fail, and hurt ourselves and others - but it's also in those opportunities that if we are remorsefully and repentant that God's truth, mercy and love can be clear to all -- thank you for noting the truth and bringing it to all of our attention. prayerfully and respectfully. He who is without sin cast the first stone. I understand your concern..but you are drawing negative attention to christians by asking such a question. Sometimes these people stretch me to the limit b/c I take great offense to the vulger comments about my Lord. I have been not so Christian in some of my answers.. the Lord convicted me of this right away. You are passing judgement when it is the Holy Spirits duty to convict us of wrong doing. Christians are not perfect..we cant be expected to live perfectly and when we mess up the Lord lets us know. So stop worrying ab out other christians and just be a light to the world. God Bless

Because all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Even Christians revert to their sinful self nature. Many Christians are yet babes and don't know how to defend their Christianity without their souls (mind/will/emotions) getting in the way.

Learning to walk in the Spirit is a process. It hurts my heart, too that Christians are labeled as hypocrites because of such behavior. Look at Peter, he was obnoxius and failed Jesus, yet Jesus chose him to be the one upon which His church would be built.

Because Peter did it is not an excuse, but an observation that even those closest to Jesus had their bad example moments.

what do you consider a non-christian? ive often wondered who has the right to determine that. it seems the head cheeses of the moral majority are the first to bash something. they called madonnas video of a little prayer sacreligious when it was actually anti-racism because there were burning crosses on it. a singer named amy grant came to play at one town i was living in, she was labeled a christian singer, and the hardcore religious people said she might be a good person, but shes not a christian. this kinda stuff goes on all the time. i think alot of people need to take a look in the mirror.

We al have a conscience Christians, and Atheists alike. Some choose to violate theyre conscience. On the other side of the coin your moral standards might be different from those you feel are behaving on a sub par level.I dont think anyone should degrade anyone no matter who you are or what your religious beliefs are.If they dont want to hear your point according to the Yahoo rules and standards we should acknowledge and move on.Good day!

Just because they SAY they are Christian doesn't really mean that they are practicing christians. I told people for years before I was saved that I was a christian, because I considered myself one. I now have a better understanding. Everybody has their own personal journey to learn and change and it can be a tough one for some. But remember that just because you are christian doesn't mean that you have to throw away your views and personality. Maybe you have a rougher personality than others but in your heart you mean well. Just keep them in prayer and set a good example for them. God Bless.

The wayward behavior of people in many groups can often times be attributed to the hypocrisy of those prominent in that group, who also don't act in accordance with the precepts they claim to live by.

George Bush happens to be one of the most prominent avowed Christians in America. He and his administration make it a point to display their devotion to Christ any chance they get. Yet they act and create policy that is stark contrast to the aims of Christian living. When a person who is supposed to be an example of how to behave, actually behaves in a hypocritical way, don’t you expect the flock to follow?

Well, as you know, as humans we all are imperfect. and i guess some people say they're Christians, but really the way they act doesn't show it. It is saddening, but even I do that sometimes. I think SOME people know that kind of stuff, but as i said before, you can't expect EVERYONE to be perfect...BUT, we still need to try to act like we are God's children.

It becomes a gut instinct when everyone around you is bashing your beliefs.

What the Christians here need to remember is to whom they belong (God) and that He will re-pay what is due to others.

WE are to seek who we can help and leave the others alone.

AND it would be nice if the Christians could go someplace and talk to each other...but the bashers come there too.

People attach themselves to beliefs and causes which make them feel better or allow them to deflect blame.  (Apparently because IMPROVING THEMSELVES is too much work.)

Most of the religionist atheist-bashing isn't because of anything they've done, it's just because atheists are part of their "out" group.  And they're a threat, especially when their outward expression of morals are superior to the believers'.  The believers have to define public piety as the only way to be "good" or else they lose all their prestige, and the game.

i think of the subject that rather some human beings have is a loss of be attentive to-how approximately Biblical "repentance." The be conscious "repentance" interior the Bible ability "a turn around." making a U-turn is a superb occasion of repentance. The Bible of course teaches that repentance is mandatory for salvation. So do no longer think of that Christians have a license to sin; on the alternative, they are going to be held extra in charge to God in the event that they're sinning interior the certainty of the reality. surely Christian theists assume atheists to have expertise of morality because of the fact this is "written on their hearts" (Romans 2:14&15). The question for the Atheist isn’t how are you able to be ethical, yet fairly on what foundation are you grounding your habit (or anybody’s habit for that count) as ethical or immoral? How does the atheist correct floor the existence of purpose ethical values?
