You stay away from him. One of the rules of friendship is to never date an ex. If you start dating him you will definetly lose your friend, consider him off limits.

in my opinion i dont think that anyone should date their ex b/f's friends or ex g/f's friends...in the end the friendship is ruined all the way around!!!
