Do you agree that the baby of the family userally gets away with more things than the oldest of the family? And would you agree that it's because they are the youngest?

I must agree. My sister can do anything and she is always pure gold to my mother. She is my mother's baby. She is 20 years old but still gets away with lots. Its annoying to see the favortism flow.

I have been living with my cousin for 2 months. She has 3 boys. Her youngest can do ANYTHING he wants, but if her other 2 boys could do the same thing, and they would be in trouble for like the whole day. The youngest are always favored, and I dont know why.

Not in my family. I'm the baby and now the only child as my brother passed away unexpectedly Jan.2,2005. We were treated the same per our age and per our sex. I know in a lot of family's it is the baby that gets the "royal treatment", so I guess I got left out of that. But that is ok cause I came from a family filled with love.

Yes. I have a younger brother who by the way is 28. He still gets away with everything. My mom still bails him out of money troubles, she even got him a loan because he was going to get evicted. Thats crazy. He works and he isn't poor by any means.
It's always been like that with my brother. No matter if im in a money jam or what I do not ask my parents for money not even $5.

Probably so. By the time parents get to the youngest child, they've usually been able to figure out what works and what doesn't and so tend to be less strict with the youngest, hence they seem to "get away with more".

When I was younger - yes, I got away with most everything. The oldest sibling should be in the role of teaching their younger sibling the right from the wrong.

My younger brother got away with a lot more than I ever did! He's the 'baby'... and for some reason, Mom said boys could have more liberties than girls.
