Besides the molars area can affect your ear area. remember that all the nerves are connected in the jaw and upper part of the mouth and if the inflammation of the molars is strong enough it will send a message to your brain that an area is affected, but because molars inflammation is big the brain checked the whole area because molars don't have a single nerve, so the pain and swelling will affect the whole area including your ears area, the joint areas, etc.

Yes This is some times a serious infection that will only get worse with out medical help see a dentist ASAP. rember this is youre teeth they are very important!

Yes it could be infected I would go get it checked a.s.a.p while the pain is where you can stand it 'cause if it is infected and you get an absence you'll be in a hell of a lot more pain then you are now and it will be more costly to you also !
