well, a long time ago, there was a global conflict around the world, it was called world war II, now during this war, america greatly progressed its technology, but there was still difficulty in defeating both the japanese and germans. the germans ultimately fell before america went after the japanese, now by this time oppenheimer had nearly created the bomb, as US troops were diverted to the pacific, it became clear that the japanese would not surrender unless dire losses occured, their steadfast attitudes and honor would not permit it. the bomb, as awful as it was, became necessary for once, and only once in history
