I got tons of replies. I never said it was good or wrong to do it. I just wanted to know if someone ever did.
To me is the same as asking "have you had sex on your parents bed?" Is that wrong? or offensive?
Please give me your opinions and tell me if Yahoo Ans. were right or wrong in banning my question.

No it is not fair. it offends me they did that. My Great Uncle was a Bataan Death March survivor and Hell Ship Survivor in WW2, he survived partly by rolling cigarettes up with the rice paper pages of Red Cross Bibles. He took the two packs of Lucky Strike cigarettes and rolling two Bible cigarettes to each one Lucky Strike. He sold these to the Japanese for tiny amounts of rice just enough to add to what they gave him to survive. At 19 he weighed 140 pounds at 23 he weighed 94 pounds, but he lived. It isn't sacrilegious to destroy any book, it is offensive when there are censors who decide that one group is right over another. By the way, my uncle was a Baptist Preacher and continued to roll and smoke rice paper "Bible smokes" as he called them. They did help save his life.

They are unnecessarily provocative.
For people who are deeply committed to their faith, the joint question is offensive to them (even though I saw Kirk Douglas do that trick to make a cigarette in "Scalawag").
For people who are squeamish about sex, the sex question is disturbing.
There are ways to ask these questions without offending people intentionally, which is how they come across.
You can ask it backwards.
"I saw a movie where the character used a page of the Bible to roll a cigarette. It doesn't seem that it would be all that good of an idea. Has anyone every tried this and how did it smoke? It is even practical?"
You'll still offend someone, but you'll have a better leg to stand on when you defend your actions.

First of all, it was very wrong if you did it. Second, yes, Yahoo Answers was right to remove the question. The Bible isn't JUST a book, wether you are religious or not, it's sacred. I'm not catholic, but, I believe in respecting their Roseries, just like the prayer robes the other religions use, I would never think of blemishing anyone of them.

It was likely seen as sacrilegious, because you were suggesting that someone deface a holy book. Even if the object itself wasn't considered sacred, the words and the meanings of the word that the book carries are.
If you had suggested a telephone or a dictionary or the Da Vinci Code, I doubt that it would have been removed.
Like other folks said - their site, their rules (Yahoo! that is).
(And I always stuck to Jokers, worked fine for me)

ya know thats kinda neat personally i think usin the bible for rollin papers is disrespectfulbut the reason i think its neat is i heard a preacher one time talk about something similar to this it might not be an answer to your question but i feel lead to share it. this preacher would go around into malls and places like that and give out bibles one time he ran across a young man and offered him a bible the man told him that he would just use it to roll his joints with and the preacher told him thats fine just promise me one thing that before you roll a joint read the page jokingly the young man said ok and took it. the bible laid in the car for a long time till one night he needed some papers and did have any so he took the bible and started with genesis 1:1 and read it and smoked it lol well some time later that preacher was preaching a revival when he got behind the pul pit to preach a man stood up in the congregation and started testifing he said preacher you may not remember me but quite sometime ago you gave me a bible and i told you i would just use it to roll joints with and you said thats fine just read it before you do and the preacher said yeah what happened and the man said i started with genesis then exodus, leviticus down thru pslams and the books of the prophets into the new testament mathew mark luke and i made into john chapter 1 chapter 2 but when i go to chapter 3 verse 16 when i read that the lord spoke to my heart. right there i laid down my pot gave my life to jesus and havent looked back. hey you want to use the pages of the bible for zig zags knock yourself out but do yourself a favor read it before you roll it

Fairness is in the eye of the beholder, like anything else. It probably offended someone, so it was removed. It may be interesting to some, but read some of these posts and you'll see that there are many who would be very angry with that post.

I agree that it was fair to remove that question. It really does nothing but poke fun at the bible. I'm an atheist but i still don't appreciate it when people simply mock religions. It's to simple and immature to just make jokes about it... much better to raise serious doubts about it.

Actually your question should be "BANDED"!...Because you have No Respect for GOD or His Believers!....Go To your Heathens Drug Addicts & Drug Dealers If You Want to Roll Joints!....Why Pick A Religious/Spiritual Forum To INSULT GOD & HIS Believers Who Are Against the Devils Works!.....You Want to Stir Up STRIFE!...Or Do You Just Want To Be Funny!.....If You Want To Be A Comedian.....GO TO JOIN THE "JERRY SPRINGER" SHOW!......I'm sure they would except your foolishness!

I think you should have a right to ask any question you want, but I just don't think "Religion & Spirituality" is the right place for that one.
It seems more like a drug paraphenalia preference question than one having to do with God.
To sum it up:
Nothing wrong with the question, except for where you posted it. (but let's face it, you did it for shock value)

well the question about sex involves adult content and the question about joints involve illegal content. Both are against policy. So yes it was fairly banned.
