It's a very good question. If God is a forgiving kind God, and if children are born free from sin, why would 'he' inflict a disability on anyone? Religious people don't like this sort of question (hence the unpleasant answers) because it justifiably raises serious doubts as to whether god really exists!
ps To those saying Jesus had no flaws because he was free of sin - you are then saying disability is given to sinners. So disabled people are the most sinful of us, are they? What a horrible, vile explanation!

Jesus was and IS perfect because he's God's son (i would try to explain the Holy Trinity, but that would take too long) God makes everyone the way that they're supposed to be. I know it might seem unfair that some kids get the birth defects, but you never know, it might serve some greater purpose, and besides, God makes us in His own image.

birth defects are caused by chemical imbalances or accidents.
God loves us all. Even you buddy. Even the gays and cheaters. We're all the same.
I think that you need to look around and see that life is fragile.
In our minds we feel like we are so important, and that something such as a birth defect is major stuff. But its not.
Our lives are short. We are weak. our own machines can end our lives easily. Something as small as a germ can kill us.
A person with a birth defect is only slightly more fragile than a normal person. we are all defective in ourselves. We are useless without our machines and other fragile things like plants and animals.
If we were to die right now, life would be irrelivant compared to the eternity we are about to enter, whatever it may be.
Look at other peoples lives. defective or not, they dont accomplish much. one might fly planes like me. not impressive. one might have made money, nothing special. one might be a governemt official, nothing special. none of that matters.
I hope the answers after me are not retarded, but they are only people, and those are only answers. They are meaningless compared to what is in your heart.

I am assuming that you do NOT have a child with a birth defect or disease, b/c I think that most parents who have special needs children feel that their children aren't flawed; they feel that they are very special and often have more to offer and teach the rest of us than "normal" people do. I am not saying it is easy to accept - just that I think you are looking at it in a very embittered way. By the way, his son had to die on a cross - not exactly the way I would want my child to go.

Actually, I think God has little do with this. The deteriorating state of our environment and mothers doing things they should not be doing during pregnancy "can" cause defects... but there are alot of other things that can go wrong as well. Either way, if you believe in God and have faith... even as a parent with a deformed child, you understand that everything happens for a reason.

It is easy to recognize that you don't have any idea how humans, animals, fish, mammals, birds, insects and all of the universe got here. Some Bible studying will answer all of your questions. Suggest you get an up to date Bible. One is New World Translation of The Holy Scriptures. You will see that thousands of years ago it was written that the changes in the Earth will happen and the falling of wealth around the world. There is a lot more. Instead of being skeptic get knowledge.

No he didn't! If you've ever read the Bible you would know that Jesus had to be born perfect to fulfill the ransom! As to humans being born with flaws, we are all imperfect, that is why we are subject to sickness! It doesn't seem fair, but as of now, we have to live with it!

Jesus is the Son of God, so he has to be perfect. As for other people such as ourselves, if we were perfect as well, we would be oh hum. If there were no defects in people, we wouldn't care.
