& cream of mushroom soup with a 1/2 can of milk. We called it Po' Boy cassarole. We made it in the 50s.

Not sure what you're asking....are you looking for a complete recipe? I seem to remember running across a recipe very similar to this one....but just not sure where I saw it. My mother has a countless number of cookbooks....so probably in there! But she's 3 hours away....so I'm sorry I can't help. I did try looking it up, in numerous different ways...no luck! Apparently, with all the "healthy eating" we're supposed to be doing....the salt pork in there kicked it out long ago! Hope someone else has it for you! :)

I would be suspecting milk, cheese, but you definitely need a liquid, something that will take the salt from the pork. Carrots might work with those other ingredients also. Have fun.
