My husband and I are moving to Fort Campbell in January. Does anybody there have Cingular? Can you actually get a decent reception on post? When I lived at Fort Knox...alot of cell phones did not get good reception on post.

Is the reception good in the area surrounding Ft. Campbell?

I am using a prepaid cell phone right now, but I need to switch to a 'plan' very soon-fits our needs better. But I don't want to get locked into a contract and then move to a place where the phone doesn't work so great and be stuck!!!

What are your experiences with other cell phone companies? I am primarily interested in Cingular-but I would like to hear what you have to say about others.

Please-any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thank you!!!!

Yes, Cingular gets good reception on post. I was at Campbell for a month and a half before I deployed to Iraq (coming home in November, woohoo!) and my Cingular phone never had a problem.

In fact, there's a cingular store inside of U.S. Cavalry, a military gear store right outside of Gate Four, I believe.

Verizon doesn't have a location as close to campbell as Cingular, but my roommate's Verizon phone got fine reception on post as well.

I even have the iphone and that i like it because of the fact all the constructive factors different than that Its like a working laptop or workstation and stalls and freezes up on me. I had to get a clean a million two times becasue of this subject . i think of there's a utility subject that should be dealt with. while its no longer broken i like it and Cingular is rather good with replacing it for clean ones.
