Garlic essential oils are oil soluble. Warm a little canola oil and put some mint leaves in it for a few minutes. Let it cool and take a couple spoonfuls and let them roll around on your tongue for a couple seconds. This will help dissolve the garlic remnants on your tongue and in your throat. Keep the oil in a dark, cool place and it will be good for a month or so.

It's hard to clear up garlic breath, it's so strong and the smell isn't coming from in your mouth...the bad breath is coming from your stomach as the garlic is being digested. I don't know any remedy!
I do know a remedy for getting garlic smell off your hands if you have been chopping it...rub your hands along your stainless-steel sink (if you have one). Presto, stink is gone.

Eat a bunch of parsley, then brush your teeth so they aren't green.
From Wikipedia: Parsley is valued as a breath-freshener, due to its high concentration of chlorophyll. Adam Blackman, a nutritionist, claims parsley enhances mental alertness, and affects the immune system.

Brush your tongue with lots of minty toothpaste and rinse your mouth several times. After that, just keep chewing on Clorets gum.
