Hi hun. I think the best way to get experience is to have some guy friends. You'll become more comfortable talking to guys, and learn what their natural reactions and interests are. If you start with guys as friends, you won't be as nervous around them. Whether the friends progress to be romantic interests or not, you'll appreciate having them around. Guys are a lot of fun just to talk to or hang out with.
To make friends who are guys, invite some acquaintances from school to hang out in a group setting -- maybe you can all go to a restaurant for appetizers in the evening. This way, they won't mistake it for a date. Do this a few times, and they're your new best buds. Good luck!

Be proud of yourself. I wish young girl's wouldn't rush this or feel like they have to be "experienced." If more girls would just say no then boys would be more respectful and learn not to expect it. Sluts are a dime a dozen but nice girls are few. Be a nice girl and wait for the right man. Make your education the number one priority in your life. Don't screw it up with an unwanted pregnancy or STD. Or worse. AIDS. Just because you felt you weren't "experienced" at 16.

here is an example of why Internet predators are here.... girl you really need to watch what you say here.. there are many people out there that can take advantage of you..... The news is always hounding people about how unsafe the Internet is already and yet they blame the pedophiles... what they need to be blaming is people like you who are advertising on here like nothing bad could happen....

at 16 you shouldn't have any experience.
except for that rollercoaster that made you puke or that night you and your girlfriends stayed up to watch the 3am movie. or when you went trick or treating at 15 in no costume just to get the free candy. the less the better!
