An allergic reaction. I would suggest going to a doctor. Or the emergency room.

Ok, well not a Doc, so don't quote me...wouldn't want to face a malpractice suit. Perhaps circulation is cut off from your hands. This condition is serious I have friends with it. The tight, tingly, numb feeling is often accompanyed by very cold hands. The swelling is new to me, but is likely a result of a lack of oxygenated blood getting to your extremities. Do your feet also get cold, do you find yourself short of breath when climbing stairs or engaging in physical activity, have you experienced diziness or lightheaded sensation. This is bad or low circulation and can be indicitave of a minor heart conditon. You should consult your physician, it never hurts to err on the side of safety. This ailment can afflict anyone, and even can lay dormant until later on in life. It is not an old persons condition, the people I know with it are all under the age of 20, and will be treating their hearts tenderly for the rest of their lives.
