To say its truth. As you cannot know that can you that is why its called belief. I would have no problem with them saying I believe its truth. It really seems regarding the answers to my last question that Christians are expert in twisting what someone has said.

Like rik said, it is called faith.

But that doesn't mean faith isn't inheritly arrogant, that faith is inheritly a good thing, or that arrogance is inheritly a bad thing. Like I replied to your earlier question: Pride is a sin in catholicism, arrogance is associated with pride, so saying that faith is arrogant is calling faith sinful. That's why people get so defensive about it. That and even the non-faithful don't like to be called arrogant... it's generally seen as a negative trait.

I think all humans can twist stuff around. Look at all the atheists that continually say its "fact" that man came from apes, yet as far as scientists are concerned, its simply a theory. Actually, christians have a lot more fact to go on that an unproven scientific theory, at least we have a history, a book, life, something substantial. Better than "all hail the big bang from nothingness", which they not only believe with their whole hearts, they try to convince us of it too, and insist that this theory is fact. What they believe is based on faith just as much as what we believe, yet we're called arrogant.

A lot of people think things are said mean, out of hate. No there not. Arrogance? Nah. You know what? God's Truth is just that, now, if a person shows scriptural support for there basis, how is this arrogant?
What I have found out is, The Word of God can hurt. It can hurt real bad, when a person is living outside of it. Why do you think that people scream stop preaching? Because it is convicting them.

A thorough study of the old testament will reveal over 200 specific prophecies that describe every key characteristic of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, yet the most recent part of the old testament was written some 400 years before Jesus walked the earth.

Some of it goes back 1500 years or more.

Any book that can accurately provide over 200 specific and accurate predictions, hundreds or thousands of years before an actual event takes place, gets my vote for being truthful, as well as for being supernaturally inspired.

I challenge you to provide documentation on any other book that has been proven to do the same.

Except it IS the truth...if you open yourself to God it all becomes very obvious.

Its not arrogant, its just the way it is. The Bible tells us to spread the Good News and the Truth, and that is exactly what we are going to do. Yes, it will offend some people, but it will help others find the Lord as well.

God bless!!!

Why do you have someone elses picture and name? That's pretty low down. You talk about arrogance, you seem to be somewhat of a hypocrite to me since you don't come here asking questions under your own name but have taken a picture from a Catholic woman and used her name to post on this site.

Using someone else's name and picture (namely mine) is very low. It's immature and an act of cheap character assassination.

You have been reported for abuse, under the "impersonation" category, by myself and by others.

I suggest you cease and desist immediately -- before Yahoo does it for you, which is just a matter of time now.

If a thing is really true, is it arrogance so say it is? God asks humans to test him and reason with him. He's willing to prove himself if a person is serious about knowing.

You need to choose your OWN avatar and name and stop trying to be someone you are not. Julia is a Catholic Christian you are obviously trying to stir up hatred and make her appear false.
Peace Be With You,
