that happens here too. As much as i disagree with their views and their tactics, it is covered by free speech so there is not much anyone can do. They have as much right to express their views as we do ours. When it happens here i go around the block so my nephew doesn't have to see it. And when i do have to go down that street i try to ignore them as best as i can. What's really sad here is that they have their children, probably 8-15) holding those same signs. to me that is morally wrong.. but again it is covered in free speech so i guess have to accept it.
But to get back to the main point, yes i agree with you.

I had an abortion when I was a teenager and it was the worst thing that I could have ever done. it is worst than murder. it is shedding Innocent blood. Once an abortion was broad casted live on t.v and the baby was moving away from the instruments that were trying to kill it. America has slaughtered 40 million babies, and I am sad to say that I am one of them. I can't change what I did, but I can try to help other women from making this horrible decision. I think that whatever gets the message across. maybe it was a little gruesome for children to see, but they are exposed to sex and violence everywhere. It may have saved a child's life.

if you stop and look at those pictures, they are real. #1. it's reality. if you were upset, that means that it touched you. #2. it's reality. if you look at your children, you are looking at a life that you saved. #3. it's reality. when i see these pictures, i cry. not because the pictures were ugly, but because it is REALITY. I can hardly believe that we actually have a nation that kills their own children. Abortion was just another way for a doctor to make more money off of a society that did not want to take responsibility for their own actions. how could people not think that a baby isn't real until a certain stage? is the sperm not alive and swimming when it enters? from that moment on, it is life. i don't understand the concept, if murder is punishable by law, how do abortionist get away with it? this includes the mother with premeditated murder of her own child. those pictures also bother the parents that don't want to take the time to explain to their children what society is doing. As you can tell, i am PRO-LIFE !!! those pictures are an extreme action, but it seems that our nation only responds to extreme actions. ( look at the twin towers ) that's why they use them. it's an extreme measure to get reality through to our nation. why should children not be tought at a young age what murder is???

There is no way in hell I would let them do that infront of my son or any of his cousins, I would have ripped the signs right out of their hands. Abortion is a woman's choice and I have yet to meet anyone who thinks differently aftering see the pictures. You can see even worse stuff on the news with all the wars. But those same people probably aren't protesting that. I'm all for protesting but that could damage the kids who saw it for life and it should NOT be allowed.

These tactics would NOT work on me, honey!! The photos were not necessary, though, and it would NOT deter me. And the SAME ones who are against abortion "because GOD says not to kill" are the very SAME @ssholes who support the death penalty and war! (KILLING!) Interesting how christians twist their beliefs when it suits them! Some Americans believe that a woman's right to reproductive freedom should be safeguarded and preserved by others. The anti-choice minority of the U.S. has been systematically dismantling the protections that previous generations labored decades to build. FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS, LADIES! If they take away ONE choice from us, THERE WILL BE OTHERS! Women should NOT be 'punished' for what some call 'sins' with unwanted pregnancy. A woman's sexuality isn't a "sin." Enforcing RELIGIOUS beliefs that every sperm meeting an egg is destined to become children is INSANE and a violation of women's rights over her own body.
Pro-choice= Women's rights
Pro-life=Anti choice

I think it's OK. Many women go in to have an abortion and think their "clump of cells" is just that...a clump of cells, when in fact, "it" has arms, legs, a beating heart and developing organs. What better way to show these women what the baby they're about to abort looks like? I'm sure the doctor and nurse probably won't.
It's unfortunate that these people's children had to witness this, but you know what...this is a tough world we live in. Sh!t happens and if you don't like it, I'm sorry...it's their right as American citizens to express their opinion and have freedom of speech. Who knows...these images might stay with a young girl for the rest of her life and if and when she becomes pregnant unexpectedly, she might remember the pictures and opt for carrying her clump to term and placing it up for adoption instead of aborting it.

I agree, you should have the choice whether to look or not. It isn't right to forcefully subject people to upsetting photos. They obviously use the shock value to make their point. I am pro-life personnally, but this is a very bad tactic. I would not want to see these pictures, the idea of abortion is sad enough.

Yes, I saw them just a few weeks ago actually, standing in the corner of where there was a Plan Parenthood...everyone has their own state of opinion, but to express it like that, for everyone, including innocent (kids) eyes was over the line. They have no right! These pictures are excruciating, it's wrong how they go about with this.

surely, I savour seeing those placards. no longer because of the fact i like finding at mixed fetuses (which i do no longer), yet because of the fact i've got considered such multiple of those photos that i've got exchange into rather desensitized to that type of argument. At my college, they have an annual abortion show the place they convey substantial reflects of aborted fetuses. the main photograph issues I even have ever considered. yet no longer something is extra unconvincing to me than an appeal to emotion. yet to be honest, all the anti-abortion reflects I even have considered weren't religious in any respect. think of that.

My feelings reguarding abortions are unwaivering but i will only address the main issue of this discussion. No its not right to have pictures out where young kids can see them. Just like its not right to have as much sex and viloence all around like it is.
But to deal with how life is we all have to just take time to let our kids know about things. Kids no alo tmore than people give them credit for.
I am all for life but it should be protested alot smartter than it sounds liek it was.

That exact same thing happens in my town. In fact, there is a guy who has a van plastered with horrible pictures of aborted fetuses and he parks it in front of a condominium complex every day! Could you imagine waking up to that every morning? I agree...it is in terribly bad taste. I'm all for people expressing their viewpoints, but that's just overboard and offensive.
KATIE...I live in Michigan, too. Is it a Michigan thing or something? The guy I'm referring to does this in Dearborn, MI.
