At age 17 years, you are considered to be an adult in Texas; however, your parents are still under section 151 of the Texas Family Code are responsible for :
(11) any other right or duty existing between a parent
and child by virtue of law.
(b) The duty of a parent to support his or her child exists
while the child is an unemancipated minor and continues as long as
the child is fully enrolled in an accredited secondary school in a
program leading toward a high school diploma until the end of the
school year in which the child graduates.
(c) A parent who fails to discharge the duty of support is
liable to a person who provides necessaries to those to whom support
is owed.
(d) The rights and duties of a parent are subject to:
(1) a court order affecting the rights and duties;
(2) an affidavit of relinquishment of parental rights;
and
(3) an affidavit by the parent designating another
person or agency to act as managing conservator.
(e) Only the following persons may use corporal punishment
for the reasonable discipline of a child:
(1) a parent or grandparent of the child;
(2) a stepparent of the child who has the duty of
control and reasonable discipline of the child; and
(3) an individual who is a guardian of the child and
who has the duty of control and reasonable discipline of the child.
Maybe this will help.........

You can.. but why the hell would you want to ? It's definitly not the best choice.. I am from Texas and I made that choice at both the ages of 16 and 17 and believe me its not worth it! Stay where you are unless your in a dangerous situation.. really.. Nothing to lose!

You sound like a winner. merely run away and artwork at a strip club. which could earn you a pair of money so as which you will stay with an abusive older boyfriend. in the past you be attentive to it you would be pregnant and hooked on drugs... and then making use of up tax payer funds because of the fact "i had a coarse youth." Your mom owns you till you're 18. merely suck it up. you have completed it for 17 years. in line with risk you may stop being a brat and be advantageous for as quickly as. or possibly you will get her permission to circulate in inclusive of your grandmother. yet you cant merely circulate and stay inclusive of your grandmother devoid of her understanding it. She'll call the police and that they'll come get you. returned, dropping tax payer funds. stop making excuses and get your existence jointly. Get a activity. circulate to college. improve the F up.
