Feel the top ridge of your eyesocket under the eyebrow. You will discover a small groove in your skull about the center of the top of the eyesocket. In this groove is a nerve which is very sensitive to pressure. If you compress this nerve, it will be very painful. However, the pain will stimulate the pituitary to release endorphins immediately. The endorphins are the body's own natural painkillers and are more powerful than morphine.
To stimulate the nerve, sit at a table and rest your elbows on the table. Interlock your fingers together with your thumbs pointing down. You will now find that the two thumb knuckles closest to your hands are exactly the right spacing to fit into the eyesocket grooves.
Lean your head over and fit the thumb knuckles into these grooves. You will know when you have found the grooves due to the pain. Now press the knuckles lightly into the grooves to cause moderate pain for about 10 seconds at a time.
Repeat about 10 times and then rest to see if enough endorphin was released to stop the headache.
A similar method for releasing endorphins is to take a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a glass of water. This is not harmful. When the cayenne hits the stomach lining, endorphins will be released by the brain to stop the pain.
Tips
When you can sleep for an hour or two, take a 180,000 heat-unit cayenne capsule on an empty stomach. The intense pain will only last for 20 minutes or less. Then you will fall into a deep refreshing sleep and wake with the Zen-like awareness of a newborn baby. During the sleep, you will have a wonderful dream of something very pleasant that you will never forget. The price is high and so are the results.
Another option is to get a bottle of magnesium citrate at the grocery. It is in the pharmacy section and comes in a little green bottle. Cost is $1. Take one ounce of the magnesium on an empty stomach and the headache will go away. The magnesium citrate is sold as a laxative however 1 ounce will not have this effect. Magnesium citrate hydrates the gut - it is not a true cathartic laxative. If you suffer from migrane headaches, try taking HTP5 and Potassium tabs daily. They help increase blood flow in the brain, relieving headaches.
Sniff peppermint & drink gatorade. Many headaches are caused by lack of hydration. Take 2 aleve and 1 extra strength Tylenol. They work synergistically together to get rid of headaches caused by inflammation of the meninges.
Get off the computer and go to a dark, quiet room and relax.
Grab the sternoclediomastoid muscle (the muscle that sticks out in the front of your neck if you turn your head to either side) between your thumb and index finger. If you work up or down the muscle you find tender points. Hold a tender point for 10-30sec as hard as you feel comfortable but definetly enough to feels some discomfort. The pain may refer up into the temples then you know you hit a good one.
Warnings
Be careful when taking some medications or trying some of the things listed above. Consult your doctor or physician before taking any medications.

Depends on why type of headache you are experiencing. The best OTC pain reliever I have personally used for my headaches (I have Migraines, Tension, and Cluster headaches) is Excedrine. It works on all of my types of headaches, however it only minimizes migraines.
Non-medicinal headache relief includes massage of the neck, scalp, upper back and shoulders. (The trigger point that works best for me: start behind both ears and massage in a circular motion down the sides of the neck,)

Tylenol and sleep if the headache is severe.
A clove of garlic if the headache is mild.
If condition persists, see a doctor.
Use of garlic helps keep blood pressure down, cholesterol in check, along with an abundance of other natural remedies.
Valuable information if understood and followed.

there are many medicines for this and they work to varrying degrees according to the kind of headache you have and your own physical make up, asprin, advil, tylenol are some and now there is a product called headon, i really havent tried it but i have used tigerbalm on my forehead and temples, and if your head ache is due to constricted veins or tight muscles due to tension this type of topical treatment can help. it also can help in cases of sinus headache if it has a strong menthol smell , i used ben gay for that, it makes your eyes tear like mad, but that forces out a lot of the toxins from the sinuses and does give relief, however make sure you dont get it in your eye.

headaches have been linked to dehydration...so drinking water can help...
also, try and relax and use the preassure points on your hand that relate to your head to relive the tension. these preasure points are the skin between your thumb and your pointer finger. massaging your hand that way can help...

If you can make yourself do it, chew 2 aspirin. They taste terrible but they work fast when you chew them up. A foot rub can be very effective also. There are many pressure points in your feet.
