If you report illegals to the INS, what good does it do? They don't follow up on the reports and it seems that the illegals in our country are allowed to do whatever they want. If you invade someone's home and steal from them, you're charged with a felony and punished. Not these illegals. They push us out of jobs and better pay by undercutting us. That's stealing. So, what's the use? and is there any way to get our government and it's agencies to start doing their jobs so we can get this economy back on track?

And it's real easy for a lot of folks to try and take a middle ground about this. But when you've got a family to feed and a life to live, it tends to get real irritating and frustrating when someone comes into a job you've been working for years, and tries to push you out. That's exactly what they're doing. Regardless of all the sanctimonious crap that people want to try an pile on to make them feel better about themselves, what it all boils down to is: Do you really think all these folks really give a DAMN about your life or your job or your family? What would happen if we went south, ILLEGALLY, and started taking jobs and ripping off they're government? Open Up Your Eyes...

Call and write your congressmen and tell them to make HR4437 into law. If it becomes law, then DHS (INS no longer exists) will be FORCED to do its job and you will get a totally different response the next time you report an illegal. A hell of alot of other stuff that will improve the situation will go into effect. Those that employ illegals will go to jail for a very long time. Employers will be responsible for documenting that their employees are legal. Real border security will go into effect, etc.

HR4437 is a very good start.

I agree with you whole hardly that the immigration laws that are currently on the books, and those that are about to be drafted, as a reaction to the public backlash against this government, are efforts in futility if they are not enforced. The only way in which we can get the government to enforce the laws is to have a grass roots movement that acts as a watch dog group which reports every instance of government inefficiency concerning this issue to media outlets that will broadcast it nationally. Trust me, nothing gets a stronger or quicker response from politicians and law enforcement than the demonstration of their foibles on national TV.

I agree with you 100%. I don't have the answer but I am sure tired of funding these people.
The INS has been told to not pick people up off the street just because they look illegal. That's profiling I guess. I have heard the INS is as frustrated as we are. The word do not touch is coming from up above. And I'm not talking God, I'm talking politics.

Exactly, these imigrants are brought here with the dream that life here in USA is an easy way to make money....really us Americans are having a hard time supporting ourselves not to mention having to support these immigrants that cross our borders everyday....the government losses so much money b/c they do not pay taxes and are first online for the hand outs that are meant for our hardworking American families....
It was nice to get a place to vent out the fustrations...thnkx

Colorado is putting a measure on their ballot which, if it passed, would require their Attorney General to sue the federal government for non enforcement, to collect as damages the funds spent on illegals.

I agree tenfold...I know a woman who got turned down for a job because she "does not speak spanish and would not fit in with the other workers" I myself get turned down for a number of jobs because I do not speak spanish. Illegals do take our jobs and it makes our lives as American citizens very difficult.

What most ppl dont understand is that "free/tax free money" makes the economy go round. From the governments standpoint (the honest one) they are not to upset about illegal immigrants.

YES, you have just expressed the sentiments of almost all
Americans. Now if we can just get out politicians to do their
jobs, maybe the situation will improve a little bit.

Absolutely, I agree. And what good is the Statue of Liberty who promises every immigrant that they can find freedom here---without qualification or quantification----only to be turned away or tagged with the label of "ILLEGAL"?
