It could be that your dog had a blockage in his intestine, either by swallowing a foregn object, or by some other means. An x-ray of his digestive system would have made this obvious.

My bet is that your dog caught parvo-virus. But there is a lot you are leaving out, so it is impossible for any of us to make any kind of reasonable diagnosis.

Was your dog still urinating and defacating?
Was he dehydrated?
Was he running a fever?
Was he exposed to anything that may help explain his condition? (ie; bird droppings, another dog that was sick, or your kids toys that he may have swallowed and gotten lodged in his intestines, etc)
Was there any buklging of the stomach area?
Did any of his symptoms just suddenly appear, or did they start out as barely noticable and escalate from there?
Was he up to date on his vaccinations?
Were his vaccinations given by a licensed vet? Or did you buy them from a catalog and administer them yourself? That's fine to give your own vaccinations, as long as you give them on the appropriate schedule and buy a quality product, preferably a "killed" vaccine, as opposed to a "weakened" one.

For the life of me, I will never understand why people invest time, money, and love in an animal but won't lift a finger to educate themselves on how to treat these animals for common problems.

Neither will I ever understand why, if you didn't know what was wrong with him, you didn't take him to the vet immediately. Instead, you wait until after the poor dog is feeding worms to try to find some answers. Hmmmm.

If you can't afford a trip to the vet, you shouldn't have a dog.

If you just don't really care about your animals, you shouldn't even own fish.

Is there a reason that you didn't take it to a veterinarian? If the answer is "I cant afford it". Then the answer is YOU are the reason it died. If you DID take it to an animal doctor and he treated it then there are a half dozen reasons it could have died.
1 it was too far gone by the time you took it in
2 it had a fatal disease because it was not vaccinated
3 It had worms
4 it was poisoned
Those are the most common reasons a pet dies.
The number one reason pets die is lack of timely medical treatment. I am disappointed at the gross lack of information among people who have questions to ask regarding their animals. So many people who are unable to spell (possibly read) with questions that are so "off the wall"...

Keeping an animal means you need to care for it, its YOUR job to KNOW what the animal needs, and provide them. EVERY animal needs to be seen by a animal doctor at least once a year... They need to be examined and undergo several tests that cost money. Animals get fleas, worms, fungus infections, injuries... sicknesses. Vaccinations are a necessary thing for good health. Just like YOU are vaccinated, your pet including your birds need to be seen and vaccinated also.

To get an animal and not know anything about it is backwards. First you need to figure out what kind of pet you might want, learning about it.. Then after a thorough medical exam you bring it home and care for it... not the other way around.

wow, sorry for the loss. There can be various reasons, one that comes to my mind is an intestinal obstruction, in this case the dog eats something like a rock, wires, or any other foreign objects and this blocks the intestine, the pet will eat and then throw up immediately and there will be no bowel movements, then the pet will get worse stop eating and may die. This is only an hypothesis. There can be many reasons, viral diseases or getting into something toxic can be another one of them.

U are not telling how old ur dog was was it a puppy, an older dog or in between. There is alot of differant things that it could of been but without knowing more info it is hard to try and tell u. If it was a pup and it had bloody feces, it could of been parvo or worms. An older dog can get worms and it will kill them also.

ok he became long previous 2 weeks. He had worms till now he went. an excellent infestation. that's why canines would desire to be wormed each and every 3 months whether you do no longer see them, through fact the eggs n larvae and worms are there interior the dogs each and all of the time. of course you had no longer been worming him each and every 3 months, so the worms had an prolonged time to multiply and advance. Him being skinny and throwing up are merely 2 signs and indicators of trojan horse infestation. No he does not have pulled by way of, through fact the worms consume the dogs from interior out, and the worms had basically taken over/invaded his physique. Worms killed your dogs. look it up on google. canines would desire to be wormed each and every 3 months from the age of 6 months for his or her comprehensive lives. after beginning elderly 2 4 6 8 weeks worming fortnightly from age 8 weeks.. as quickly as a month each and each month till ultimately they are 6 months previous.

Your dog may have gotten a worm. Alot of dogs who arent taken to the vet on the regular basis, get sick from time to time, most of the time it goes unnoticed, my guess is your dog got a worm infection that was eating him up inside and finally died. Sorry for your loss.

If it was a puppy, it was probably Parvo. If it was older, it could have been a foreign object or cancer etc. Whatever the reason, you obviously did not care enough to get medical attention and therefore it died. I would not get another dog since you don't give it the proper care.

So sorry for your loss. The symptoms you described could be from many things, ie. diseases, infections, toxicity. The only way to really find an answer is to have a post-mortum exam done on the dog.

Sorry for your loss...poor guy/girl. Sometimes dog just know it's their time and give up on a lot of thing...Like eating. The throwing up part, well he/she could have eaten something very toxic, or didn't agree with them.
My sympathies...
