because if the cost of childcare WERE more then what they could work and make there would be no point in working. Childcare for working parents MUST be in the budget of what they could afford , if jobs paid better then in turn parents could afford more for childcare PRETTY SIMPLE!

Some families don't have enough money but need childcare so they can go to work and make ends meet, have you ever thought of that? Some people aren't as fortunate as others.

no matter what people are seeking, they want to get the lowest price they can for service or product they consider adequate

many people are willing and able to work in the childcare arena

this makes it very competitive

to get work, some will work very cheap
if they do a decent job, parents will choose them

this is how all markets work (supply, demand, etc)

if you want to command a big price for your services, you have to do something that not very many people can or will do

I imagine because they want to save don't they?
Children are expensive to support, since women is pregnant with them there are lot of expenses then when they are born so it is reasonable they look cheap childcare but cheap does not mean bad quality right?

Well with me , I have nothing beyond a high school education and I only can earn min wage and when I only make 300 a week or less and when day care centers want 350 a week , its not being cheap its staying in your budget so your kids can eat

You don't have children do you?
I have two, and let me tell you this, I am a stay at home mom because in order for me to work I would need someone to watch my children.
A minimum wage job is not even enough to cover 1 child for a month at day care and I would still have to pay 50 dollars extra on top of my whole earnings.
Why pay to put my children in daycare so I can work for nothing, when I can stay at home with them and still not have any money.

I have three children and stay at home while my husband works; child care is very expensive and it would not pay me to go to work and pay a sitter and bring home $50 for working my butt off all week. I understand why people want to charge what they do but I can't pay it and most people want good child care without paying alot because of the cost to drive to work and then the child care on top of that the cost of living is expensive

because jobs don't pay enough. Both parents have to work in order to keep up with everything that needs to be done, but because the wages are so cheap it makes it seem pointless for one parent to go back to work because it feels like your working, but not really making any money.

Because it is considered "unskilled" labor. Yeah, I know, it isn't, but they take care of their own kids (more or less) for free, so how much are they going to value outside help?

Again, not that I agree with it, but that is the reason.
