Cats aren't lazy. They require about 18 hours of sleep per day. What's more, they are mostly nocturnal, meaning that they do most of this sleeping during the day while we are awake, so they appear to be lazy.

But we don't know how crazy they get at night....;)

Cats are not really lazy. They have 9 lives no joke. A cats year is completely different to ours, our year is 7years to a cat, therefore every so many hours of active motions ,would be nearly a day to them, so they sleep more.. hence our saying a cat nap.

cats are not lazy at all. They are left to get bored and their owners do not motivate them to play so they just get more and more bored and "lazy"

If you have a lazy cat, play with him, in the evenings. They like sleeping all day, to preserve their energy for hunting at night. That is their natural instinct.

That's the nature of the beast. They sleep probably about 1/3rd of the day, but are pretty active the times that they are awake. I've got 4 cats and during the day, it's hard to tell that I have cats...but once they get active, it's like a stampede.
That's the just the way cats are.

Why shouldn't they be? People are willing to do everything for them. Besides, they're saving their energy for sun baths, massages and the like.
