Actually... read this...
"A court in The Hague has ruled that the killing of thousands of Kurds by Saddam Hussein's regime in 1988 was genocide. The decision came during the trial of Dutch chemicals trader who was convicted of illegally selling Iraq the materials for the chemicals used in the attack.Around 5,000 Kurds were killed in the poisonous gas attack on the town of Halabja.
"These attacks were committed with the intent to destroy the Kurdish population of Iraq," the ruling said...."
Now this comes from The Huffington Post. and here's the link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2005/12/23/gas-attack-on-kurds-ruled_n_12818.html
So before you go out and start blaming the USA for every friggin' wrong the world has ever known,,, "eggman", expose your sources so we can all learn together!

NO, but it would have nice to give it to him. Too many liberals here though who would have had a fit. It would be better if he was in power, poisoning women's son's and then raping the mothers. That is the liberal point of view.

No.
We sold him industrial chemicals that were supposedly for insecticides and other legitimate products.
When we discovered his chemical weapons program we immediately banned sales of all precursor chemicals.
European nations then cheerfully stepped in and sold Saddam the stuff we would not.
Heck - Germany even built his chemical weapon production facilities.
