A teacher at my community college has been diagnosed with cervical cancer, which has proven to be a very aggressive cancer for her. Her chemotherapy treatments are making her very sick, even up to 3 and 4 days at a time (and then it's back for another treatment). She has an 18 year of daughter that she is trying to support, even though she has been unable to work in several months. Her daughter's car is messed up and since she has been unable to work, cannot afford to have it fixed or help the daughter out with getting insurance after it is fixed (she can't even afford to put her daughter on her insurance policy). Her ex-husband is a deadbeat alcoholic dad who isn't even trying to help them.

Please, everyone regardless of spiritual beliefs, pray for this sweet lady and her daughter.

Sincerest thanks and brightest blessings to all!

The daughter is in school and taking care of her mother and the "father" has a responsibility to the daughter, not his ex, regardless of age!!!!!

Thank you everyone, and I would like to add that some of us at the school are doing what we can in the way of fund raisers, donations (I've been pestering the locals, lol) and benefits.
Brightest blessings to you all!!!!!

Wow, that was a great thought to post the situation on Yahoo! Answers. at least you'd reach a few. They've got my prayers, definitely. Cancer is so tough to deal with; both of my grandmothers suffered from cancer, one stomach cancer and the other a rare form of leukemia. Both were very close to me, and I know what it is like to lose them, and how difficult all of the treatments are, especially chemo.

Seems everything is against that family, but if they trust in the power of the Lord, and his immense Mercy, they will make it. They must not think about what they cannot do, but what is possible with His help. Please convey these things to that family. and thank you again for coming to get prayers for them here!

God Bless both you and them!

I'll keep her in my thoughts.
Why don't you start a fund raiser for her? Do a bake sale, car wash, or just accept donations. Also, there are some organizations that accept donated cars and then provide them to people who are going through a tough time and need a car. See if you can find one of those and see if the daughter can qualify for a car. Best of luck to all involved.

I will pray for her.....have you thought about getting together a fund drive to help her out? Does she have health insurance at all? Is the daughter employed? Could her daughter live with a family member temporarily while this stuff is sorted out?

That is very sad
why doesnt the 18 y.o daughter work?
and why should a deadbeat Dad pay anything for a ex? or for over age limit for child support?

Yeah! Jesus came to restore what was lost! His death gave us freedom from sin, and its hold on our life. Sickness and disease has been taken away from us, as far as the east is from the west, God has removed all our inequities. So I speak healing to that woman in Jesus name! Cancer, you leave! tHAT WOMAN HAS BEEN BOUGHT WITH A PRICE, AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE NEAR HER! SO LEAVE IN jEUS' NAME!
