My mother does this to her hair and it looks great! All she does is get a perm solution and reverses the process, but my best advice is go to Sally Beauty salon and ask the pros.

NO STOP NOW! There is nothing that you can do at home that will help you and the one thing you can do at a salon is around $500 or more (depending on hair type and length) and has to be done about every 6 months. I had it done twice, the first time was good but the second time the guy left it on my hair too long (after telling me how gentle this stuff was and wouldn't damage my hair) and about 30% of my hair fell out over the next month and every piece of my hair was damaged at about 1/2 inch from the root. It was like every piece was slightly broken and could completely break at any time, I was afraid to even brush my hair.

I had to let it all grow out and keep getting it cut until all my hair was new. I mean you couldnt tell I had less hair or that it was damaged but I knew it. Imagine trying to let it grow out to curly again and having the bottom of it straight. It looks silly.

Deal with the hair that you have and try to figure out ways to work with it. It's the best thing to do.

umm.. i forget what stuff i used.. but get a friend or your mom or someone to help you. follow the directions.
just to let you know, i regretted it like.. a week after i did it. =/ you always want what you don't have i guess, but i wish i had left it naturally curly, becos i still end up straightening it everyday anyway... and it looked nice curly, once i knew how to take care of it.

yes you can buy prouduces to straighten your hair at home, and they do work. but there is alot to think about when doing that. i really dont think that is a good idea to do it at home. the reason that i say that is becase it is so easy to fry your hair doing it. if you really want to do it i think that you are better off going to the solon!!

just lay down on the floor and let someone use a clothes iron on it. My daughter does it all the time and it will stay straight until u wash it.
