Hey fellow christians.i am worried..i have seen how some of us are trying to present God's word to others and it frightens me! I have noticed (being human and imperfect) we let anger & definsivness get in the way and that can damage our witness thus the 1'st part of proverbs states Proverbs 15:17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly..and Ephisians 4:26 tells us to be angry and sin not! Ephisians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers..by pushing our views on people we are pushing them away and doing wrong.God tells us in his word to plant the seed in other minds.in other words he tells us to present the word.now he didn't say to plant it then try to make it grow!.we are simply the sowers and God takes care of the rest.also remeber that our Lord won us over through love not anger or hate...

AMEN! I am so glad you posted this! I have been trying to spread that word here for a long time. Unfortunately, there are so many who are turned off by Christianity because they are told by so-called Christians that they are condemned and going to hell and are criticized and belittled. You are absolutely right in saying that we are supposed to speak lovingly and gently to others about God. We are to be an example of Christ's love and mercy, not a finger-pointing, judgemental person quick to criticize and show anger. God bless you for posting this. Thank you.

You speak of those who preach a purer Christianity: the one that enslaved Africans and slaughtered Jews with praise for God and His glory upon their lips.
In these days of political correctness, much of the Hellfire and Damnation have been watered down to attract those more enlightened than the God of Moses, but that does not mean those who still use such methods are less Christian than those who don't.
That they use fear to convert, and you do not, is but two sides of the same coin. Fear of Hell is all that could motivate those who would worship the God of II Kings 2: 23-24.
Never forget that Revelations 21:8 hides behind all the sweet words of the love of Jesus. Unbelievers will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, there to burn forever. By such a belief my father burns in Hell for all eternity, and anyone who thinks I will forsake him for the God who condemned him has little understanding of Humanity.
Any God that must threaten such a punishment to convert unbelievers is no God of Love, no matter what others may say.

some worship God some worship the devil, and some worship science. For the most part everyone thinks one of these are true. so let the ones that worship God study and learn about him and take part in all God has to offer. and the ones that believe in the devil do the same. and also the ones that believe in since. at the end of life we will all know the truth.are we can look for the truth while we are on earth and be open minded until we find the truth. I hope everyone finds the truth they are looking for and i have included this site as a place to start for some and a place to end for others that thank they know what is true good link http://the-heavenly-home-page.blogspot.com/

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:1. This is the opening verse for what is described as the love chapter in the Bible. The apostle Paul is writing to the church in Corinth about the need for them to love each other and stop feuding. But he wants their love to be the real love that God can give them when they allow the Holy Spirit to live through them. They all claimed to have the gifts of the Holy Spirit that were the most noticeable like speaking in tongues or or healing. These people where acting like others who did not have these gifts were in some way inferior to them. So in using this metaphor of "sounding brass or clanging cymbal", he was saying they should stop trying to call attention to themselves as if they were better than others and show real love to others.

And this is my forum to spread the word of God. I do NOT get in anyone else's face and present them with the Gospel. All I do is answer questions according to the Bible.
I do not hate anyone - regardless of what some might say. I know some say that if you don't agree with their religion you are called a "hater" but it seems to be ok if they don't agree with me, though.
Luke 6:22.Blessed are you when man shall hate you... for THE SON OF MAN'S sake

Carol, I could not agree with you more. It is important to present the Word of God with the heart of Christ. I and other brothers often go evangelizing. We are mindful that we are ambassadors of Christ and His representatives in the earth. How we present the Word is a reflection of who we really are. Like you said, we are just to give the Word, but God makes it grow. God bless you sister.

In here this board, I even I get angry, but the question I get angry about I don't answer.
The writer will not accept anyway, so it is a wast of my time and the time of the writer to respond.
To those I do answer, I try to us some wisdom, or drop a seed.
To those who get angry and respond, what I say they also will not hear.

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all your things be done with charity.

Good point.
I guess the biggest problem when trying to "plant seeds" is that people you preach to don't believe. So when "preachers" react with hostility to the questions that have plauged the human race for millenia they are seen as just seen another crazy a**hole (and they are).
