Just my opinion, but I wouldn't do it. When you have blonde roots growing out it will look like your black hair is floating above your head, kind of a bald look. Does that make sense? Also, the only way to get black dye out is to use a hair color stripper,it's damaging and rough on the hair. Maybe you could try a light brown and then see if you want to go darker.

If dark haired people dye their hair blonde you should be able to go from blonde to dark however, it might look wierd if you're very light skinned just like dark skinned look weird with very blonde hair.

I think some naturally blond girls look totally hot with black hair -- especially if they have fair skin. The contrast between dark hair and light skin -- yummy.

Yes, but be careful of the type of dye you use, it could have a green base or a purple base, so in some light it will look either green or blue.

it is very easy to dye light hair darker. i use hydrience hair color in jet black. i'm not sure how black hair will look with lighter eyebrows, but you can always use a dark eye pencil.

It would end up VERY black, and your roots would be blonde. Yes, that would look weird.

It probably won't look very good. Or very natural. You probably won't like it at first if you do it. It's easier to get use to changing your hair to lighter than darker...if your fair skinned already, you'll look a lot lighter....

the only thing that affects how different hair colors look on you is your skin tone/color. so if you are tan and blond, you'll probably look fine. it'll just take some getting used to becos its so much darker.

You might look too pale and washed out. I did. (And I have an olive undertone to my skin.)

Try one of those "tryon" hairstyle programs. There's different ones around the Web - as long as you have a picture of yourself uploaded, go to one of the haircolor websites and see if they have one.
