The best months are May to October but that is also high season and that equals more $$$.
The worst months are considered December through February because those months are hot, humid, and rainy. But... it is a less expensive time to travel to Tahiti.
Frankly I like hot, humid and rainy, I find it sexy. There is also another bonus; fewer tourists to ruin your holiday, and more time to explore hidden beaches where you just might find yourself and a friend alone on a deserted beach skinny dipping.
I’d shoot for early December since it is just the beginning of the rainy season, and still more warm then hot. Have a blast, I did last year.

Basically it comes to this--if you do not mind the occasional rain in DEC and JAN then it is worth the trip. If sunny weather is what you're looking for, then the months of FEB-NOV may be your best bet(I am Owner of a Travel Agency).

Probably the best place to get an overwater bungalow would be in the Tahiti/Fiji vicinity(Bora Bora as an example). Very nice and plush, they also have the coffee tables where you can feed the fish that frequent the lagoons and ocean. Some basic questions come to mind, though:

1-Do you have a Travel budget in place?(Because Tahiti and Fiji are considered Resort destinations, prices can on occasion be a bit on the high side.

2-How many are going?

3-How important are amenities to you?

Depending on when you want to go, there is usually a good variety of overwater bungalows that should satisfy your wants, needs, and budget. If you could kindly either call, email me at: indysteve1563@yahoo.com, or reach me through Yahoo Messenger with what you have in mind, we can research current bungalow vacancies that are available.
