Nope, I am no believer nor do I have enough faith. Just an observer considering the possibilities.

In faith, there is a strong hope for a favorable outcome.

Being brain washed only illogically insists on preconceived outcome(s).

I can only answer those things that I know....I don't like to guess at things that are so important. Who says I don't question my belief? That's how I came to believe. Once again, you're making assumptions. Where do you come up with ideas that people believe the bible without investigating? That's what study is...it's investigating the claims that are being made.

Ah...well you know the bible tells me not to get into "foolish quarrelling". Why debate with a person who just wants to argue and not really hear an answer? I can't make anyone believe. All I can do is try to, patiently and in a friendly manner, answer a question from the bible. Where else would I go for information about God or Jesus?

No one is "forced" to believe the gospel. You either do or you don't. Faith can't be "faked". Then it isn't true faith. And I wouldn't be so quick to say hell isn't real.....just because you may not think there is a hell...that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Did you mean Brainwashed or Spiritual Truth?....something you atheists can't tap into!.....why?....because "except a man be born again , he can not see (understand spiritually) the kingdom things of GOD" (John 3: 3)....believers understand why you non-believing atheists thinks it's foolish... (1 Cor. 2: 10-16)!....why? Because You're Not Spiritually Educated In The Things Of GOD, Nor Do you Believe GOD Exists!....So, what's the point!.....ps. find a site that believes the same you atheists believe and take it from there because you will never be able to destroy the commitment, experience, answered prayer, miracles, restoration, etc. etc. etc. that GOD Has Done For Thoses Who Believe, Serve And Trust Him!......unless you pick this site just to Insult & Stir Up Strife Towards Believers!.....

How do you know that people who have faith are simply that...faithful? Just because someone lives by faith, and doesn't believe as you do, doesn't make one brainwashed or that they haven't questioned God's word. I am a Christian by faith. I have faith that there is a Holy Trinity and a Heaven and a hell just as God's word tells me but I am NOT brainwashed, I have studied other religions, I have an education and am not easily swayed and I don't back down just because someone asks a ridiculous question. And just because you think hell is fake, doesn't make it so!

My, but some God critics have very narrow minds indeed. You see even those with faith are constantly questioning their beliefs. They are always checking scripture references, and determining which are the best. I have never even met a Christian who had not in some way, made changes to his belief system. Some may have embraced dispensationalism and then changed to convenant theology. Some have made careful and even painful changes and leave their friends from one denomination to join another. So do not think that persons with faith are brainwashed. Rather it is those who have no faith that are often the ones who have never performed any mental exercises.

Sometimes life puts you in a situation where there are no easy solutions, having faith is good. Having faith is like "oh, don't worry, everything will take care of itself" and in the meantime, you just sit and do nothing. Some of us grew up with already a religion from our parents, because they believe a certain way but just like Madonna, I think we are all big, old and smart enough to choose for ourselves. I myself am religion-free. I will have faith but I don't go to the extremes like those that knock on your door every Saturday or Sunday.

1) No one has all the answers on any topic.

2) Actually I question my beliefs frequently. Do you?

3) I spend a lot of time investigating religions and philosophies.

4) You don't really win or lose on Yahoo answers, unless by winning you mean learning something new.

5) Hell is a metaphor.

The number of religious experts out there is amazing! Having faith, my addle-headed friend, is not finding it necessary to question my belief. Were your 5 reasons for having faith part of a doctoral thesis, or a brilliant deduction under the influence of some or other drug?
