I have been to the small British Caribbean island of Anguilla in the leewards islands 7 times and why because not only is it tranquility wrapped up in blue it a very very safe place for single and couples with children very friendly island and I can guarantee once you've been their you will not want for no other place in the Caribbean the hotels are some of the best in the world and Anguilla was voted No1 top Holiday vac cation in the America especially for the celebrities as their find that the islanders don't both with them regardless of who their are so do your research on ANGUILLA

We loved St. Mateen the French side and Dutch side, is clean, not too much traffic , people are courteous and friendly, so many goats up the hills, and on the French side ,the food is to die for! The beaches are cristalline and since we were on a cruise , we just spend the day there ,but Iam looking to stay there a week or so ! Not like St. John where the traffic is horrible or SanJuan where you see policeman on roofs tops with rifles! I tell you the islands that are kept by the Europeans are the most beautiful and safe!

I have been to Cancun 3 times, Riviera Maya once, Cozumel once and Jamaica once. I have never taken children to the Caribbean but the following were my observations. I have seen a lot of children in the Riviera Maya. It's pretty laid back with very little night life and plenty of activities for children. Cancun and Jamaica is for adults in my opinion and I have not seen many children in these locations. Jamaica is my favorite couples vacation. If you like partying and do not mind the presence and use of marijuana go to Negril, Jamaica. It was "founded" by the hippies in the 1960's and still possesses much of the laid back atmosphere. If you have any direct questions, feel free to email me at: electra13@verizon.net.
