If you have easy access to a library, then you might want to consider going there. Libraries tend to have few distractions and many resources. If you don't, then find the calmest, easiest place to study that is available to you. Remove any unnecessary objects from that area or room (such as mirrors, accessories, decor, and other things you won't need in order to study) and settle yourself in that place. A desk is helpful, as well as a chair that is comfortable but not too ergonomically designed - it may cause you too feel sleepy or slouch. Also adjust the lighting of the area so that it doesn't fall on your eyes but on what you are studying. Another variable is the temperature in which you are studying. Warm temperatures tend to cause drowsiness, but cold temperatures may make you feel stiff and dry. If you are going to study in a room that has windows, then cover them (with blinds, curtains, or whatever you may have on hand) and avoid other visual distractions. Another aspect of studying to look at is your inclination to study. If you don't really enjoy what you are studying and are prone to get distracted easily, time yourself. Get an alarm clock or a timer and every hour or so, take a short break. Take some time to absorb what you study and renew yourself. Reach a logical stopping point in your studying before you take a break, though...If you ever find yourself feeling tired or sleepy at a crucial time (like the last day before the exam), then it may help to splash your face with cold water. If there are other people who may pose a distraction, inform them of your studying and request them to keep down the volume. Soft music may help you study, but anything too loud is not a good idea. As you're studying, make sure that you are actually understanding and absorbing what you are reading or learning. Don't be afraid to go back and review. Last but not least, try to keep your studying interesting. You may want to try a variety of resources or different types of media. After you learn the information, take a few practice tests and get into the hang of it. I wish you luck on your exam, and hope that your studying will help. Try not to "cram" the night before the exam, and ensure you get nine hours of sleep before. Have a filling breakfast (don't overstuff yourself, though), and breath in and out deeply before the exam. Remain calm throughout, and remember what you studied. I know you can ace this test! :)

Stay off of the computer and away from other distractions. Start writing the facts down in chronilogical order. Then you go over them lots of times in your head and /or with a friend or parent/sibling.Then write them again once before going to bed. Get a good night's rest and relax. Read them once early in the am. before going to take the test and then go over them again while the teacher gets the class ready. Best wishes and study earlir next time. studying should come after all homework is finished every day, even if you don't have homework! Most especially in courses you have trouble with.

you have to think about what helps you study. Like making note cards, a "cheat sheet", etc. And go somewhere where you have absolutely no choice but to study. I write something 4 to 5 times and say it aloud as many times. But if you get tired dont force it, you will just irritate yourself. Hope that helps.

well, just think about what will happen if you fail the test...that should be motivating enough...that should pressurize you to concentrate...
