Have a box with all old high school stuff, important stuff from families and close friends, and some writing or pictures from exlovers.

There's also a few pictures of your lover's exlover and some small gifts from exlover.

However you know your lover is glad that he/she isn't with that person anymore, is deeply in love with you, and have no contact or any desire to get in touch with exlover.

Would it still bother you or would you not mind?

It would bother me yes. I used to have a box like that ,and when I met my husband I threw all that stuff out! If you are IN LOVE you dont want mementos from other people. I now have a box of cards my husband has given me over the last few years. I sold all the stuffed animals any ex had ever given me at a garage sale! The lover who keeps all that stuff is either A. still in love or B. A PACK RAT. There are a few exceptions. If its something like Prom pictures or Graduation Pics or birthday Pics, it is important to keep things like that because those are times to remember, but old love letters are trash!

Well it would bother anyone. deep inside you'd wish that they would forget about their past loves, because you want to be the shinning point in their life, or you feel you should be important enough to forget about those memories, and focus on now... Its a little bit of jealousy, and a confusion. Even though you understand you shouldn't feel that way.

Memories, and keepsakes, are great reminders of all the love, fun, and even pain we went through in our lives, if none of that never happened, we wouldn't be the people we are today. as long as you keep that in mind, you would be more understanding, that to her, these things are important, because they represent an imoprtant part of her life. Even ex lovers, are important memories, it doesn't mean they have feelings for that person, thats why these thigns are in a box, they are meant to be there, for when she needs to look back, adn remember who she became, and who she was.

I would not mind at all if I knew my partner was deeply in love with me, the memory box is a symbol of their past and it has made them the person they are today. Dont get bothered over ghosts of the past.

I have a shoebox full of love letters from my very first boyfriend, which was about 30 years ago, lol.

I haven't opened it in years.

Don't let it bother you. It's just memories.

Naughty Angel, it may be trash to you, but when I am a very old woman I want to be able to open that box and relive in my mind what it was like to be a very young girl who was in love for the very first time.

Personally I think it's kinda psycho that she keeps that stuff. It sounds like she was hurt and hasn't healed completely. I could be wrong.

I need to know more, however. Why doesn't she just get rid of that junk? It serves no purpose except to dwell on past love (which is not a good thing in my opinion).

It's natural for something like that to bother you, but you can't let her know it bothers you at all, it's sure insecurity and wussiness. If you keep on caring that much about something like that bs that's not even yours, you're gonna eventually screw things up with her. Just chill, who cares, you obviously know she's "deeply in love with you". She probably wants to throw that stuff out too, but it's a way for her to remember that time in her life, it's human to want to keep things that bring old memories back. Don't sweat it, she'll love you even more if you're cool about it.

It might a bother me but, im a jealous person.I wouldnt bother him about it.Past is the past and he has a right to hold to memories as much as i do.As long as he's not still in love with that person than its all good.

No everyone has one of those boxes, its a way to keep special memoriabilia that meant something to you at some time, doesnt have to still mean something but you always keep it. Dont be mad you will understand when you have a relationship that really makes an impact on your life.
