hey i've been playing tennis for about 11 years. tennis just helps you keep in shape. It helps you build muscle. To lose weight you need to run and do cardiovascular exersises-these help you lose weight the quickest. Tennis involves very good footwork,so you have to be able to move your feet. Do not do tennis to lose weight-it involves effort-and 100% competition.Just 1 class will not do anything but will get your metabolism going.running im 100% will help you lose weight the quickest. try running 3-6 miles or build up to that point by doing 1 mile a day and each week build up to a new mile!thanks

yes its possible just stay away from foods high in fat and salt your calorie range should be about 1800 a day no more no less just don't try to go on a diet that's only hurting yourself it is good that you play tennis because so do i and i lost about five pounds in 2 weeks so it Will take some time but tennis is an exercise so your fine at what you are doing. and for the swimming who cares what they'll say I'm pretty sure about 15% of the people in your gym class feels the same way so good luck

You can lose weight playing any active sport. Anything that burns calories will help you lose weight from anywhere on your body, as long as you also have a healthy diet. But don't starve yourself - it puts your body in a mode to store fat calories and hinders weight loss.

You can't spot reduce. It's an all over thing or nothing. I asked my Dr. and he said I could not lose my stomach unless I was willing to weigh 115 lbs. That's a ridiculously low weight for my frame. Tone it all up and look great!

You can lose weight from any physical activity. Tennis is more of a cardio sport so I would guess you would burn fat just about anywhere and strengthen your arms.
