There were thunderstorms in my area as well. I was at the mall when it hit. I left during some showers and while everyone was running to get to their car before they got wet, I walked slowly and I absorbed the sheer wonder of Mother Earth... felt the rain falling on my face, with the rumble of thunder overhead. Nature is so awe-inspiring and powerful! I could just feel the power running through my veins. It was a great experience. :-)

Hi Brother, how are you? Nice to hear about your divine experience watching the beauty of nature unfold before you like a gift from the universe to a soul in awe. Yes, this earth is one awesome place to live. It was beautiful here this morning in Kyushu, the Western Isle of Japan, watching the sun rise over the mountains, I went into the garden, still wet with dew, and watched the butterflies fluttering over the flowers and thought, wow, it is going to be HOT today. I'll make a pot of tea and wake the family and get the breakfast and get ready for a brand new day. There's a dozen kids coming round for their English lessons this morning and we're going to have a lot of good loving learning fun. Wow, what a life, Thank the Lord for it all. Take care Brother, have a very nice day.

Hey hey! I'm an old hippie gal myself! I sit outside in a special spot in the woods behind my cottage and meditate! The trees are thick and beautiful and the sun rays coming through the leaves are absolutely beautiful! At night, I love sitting there, feeling the cool air on my skin and listening to the sounds of the night. Nature is a groovy gift and it's a shame when people don't take the time to enjoy it and give thanks for it!

I try to do that everyday. For awhile every morning I passed a huge herd of goats that were eating all the dried grass on a hillside. They've been gone for a few weeks now and somehow I miss seeing them. Whomever owns them I think just hires them out to "mow" down grass/shrubs because I've seen the herd on other hillsides around here.

I also love checking out the sky just as the sun sets and right after - nothing like it...and nothing like being in the country or up in the mountains where there are very few lights so that you can see a zillion stars. Wow.

Every damn day. Like today, for instance, I had a cup of tea on my patio while it poured rain. The desert has an amazing smell when it rains. I heard once that too many people live in the past, regretting things. And too many live in the furture, worrying what will be. The true heaven is the now. This is it. Good question old hippie.

Yes, I enjoy it almost every day. I live at the edge of a National Forest, and it is beautiful in the woods. Just to sit on my porch and look at it (While watching for the ivory billed woodpecker!!) is very breathtaking. Same love backatcha!

Beautiful story, I try to take time always. Life is too short too ignore the beauty that is always around us. There are so many beautiful peaceful moments given to us each day.By the way I like trees as well,LOL I saw another person told you to "hug a tree" well why not they do make our air.
Peace Be with You,
Debra

Today, I did not.

Two years ago on September 4th, I brazenly walked outside during a brief lull in the eye of a hurricane, as Frances ripped a wide swath of destruction through my home town.

The sunrise the morning before, as I recall, was an astonishing wash of artistic colors unmatched by anything.

Not only is the earth a beautiful place... but it can be so angry sometimes too. ;-)

i've got worry-free a pair previous hippies. They saved genuine to their roots, yet each and all the medicine fried 'em. Now they're spacey weirdos. relaxing characters and incredibly worth wonderful with at times, yet no person you would be wanting to emulate. lots of the hippies that did no longer bypass down the drug course became into yuppies in the eighty's. It exchange into constantly purely a fashion style for them. do no longer overly romanticise the Nineteen Sixties. Yeah, there exchange right into a great variety of positives there yet there exchange right into a severe dark part as nicely. study some Hunter Thompson. And in the previous you lament the political state of no interest of as we talk's young babies, you need to recognize two issues. First, there exchange right into a draft in the Nineteen Sixties. people have been lively with the aid of fact they have been given despatched to Vietnam in the event that they weren't. there exchange right into a stable element of self-protection in the back of the war protests. And 2d, the gadget has tailored to the 60's approaches. suitable to loose assembly? long gone. See ya in a "loose speech zone". "the guy" has plenty extra capability than he had lower back then; mass protests of course do no longer artwork from now on. people nevertheless attempt, although. it is not entire apathy from now on, after 8 years of bush. a great variety of young babies worked stressful to get Obama elected. look what that have been given 'em--extra war, extra torture, huge handouts to the banks, etc... The gadget has tailored. Apathy seems to be the logical reaction. The Nineteen Sixties have been nevertheless a desirable time and incredibly worth examining. i'm attracted to examining the different responses to this, extraordinarily if all people from that era is in this platform.
