I think it's incredible that he has never lost after taking a lead going into the 4th round of a major, and just as incredible that a player of his caliber has never come from behind to win one.

He has never lost when entering the last day of a major with the lead, but I find it amazing that he has never come from behind on the last day to win a major.

I have covered the PGA TOUR for a long time, and I wrote a column on my blog after the Masters this year that sought to answer that question. The link is below, but here is an excerpt:

The reason he is 10-0 when he has the final round lead: He makes the difficulty of the course work FOR him. It is not intimidation. Woods knows how to play the safe shots on championship Sunday, then he forces every one else to press. They all fall off the map (just as he does when he trails), and Woods lifts the trophy.

I go on to talk about how the opposite happens to him when he is behind. When you start pressing at a major, bad things happen.

Check your stats. He has. He's also never lost after two rounds when leading either. His record after two rounds is now 7-0, but he's won more when leading after three rounds. this means he has come from behind when leading after at least two rounds.
