In Jewish tradition, a man of that age (Beth Talmud) would be doing one of two things, or a combination of both. The major thing would be studying the Law, the Prophets and the Writings. The goal of every Jewish boy was to become a rabbi, but only one in 1000 ever made it. During the early years (up to age 15), a boy would memorize all of what Christians call the Old Testament. During this next age (15-30), he would diligently study what he had previously memorized, and discuss it with others who were studying it.
If a boy was not very adept at studying scripture and figured his future would probably not be serving as a disciple to a rabbi or eventually becoming a rabbi, he would become an apprentice at what would become his life's work.
Others would focus solely on finding a rabbi and following that rabbi around to learn from him.
Some would do a combination of both.
Since Jesus is God, He had no need to find a rabbi, nor to spend His time studying God's word. I tend to think that during this time, He bided His time working as an apprentice in His father's carpenter/masonry shop. His ministry did not start until He was 30 because you could not be a rabbi until that age.

There are many things that the Bible is silent about and this is one of those things. It's left to people's imagination but you have to also remember that the lives of people in Jesus day and time was much different than that of today. I'm sure He spent much time in teaching and sharing of the Scriptures with those that would listen and much time in prayer as well as with family and possibly helping out with the family needs. I'm also sure that He spent time taking in what it was to be walking around within a physical body. Otherwise we just don't know.

The Bible does not comment on this time period. The Bible does not comment on the time of Jesus' step-fathers(Joseph's) death. Jesus being the oldest son would have taken over the responsibilities of caring for the family and earning support, remember he was a carpenter taught by his step-father Joseph.

I think those people who wrote the bible forgot where he was. THey are still researching that but he was not in India.
He would not have spent time in India when he had work to do whereever he was.

The bible doesn't give information on that period of his life. I believe that some of the "lost books" can give you a little bit more information.
