OUCH!!!!! I've suffered from ingrown toe nails since I was a kid. my left big toenail was removed entirely once but it grew back and the problems continued. So a podiatrist cut inside the actual nail root and killed it off. Now my toe nail grows in a perfect rectangular shape. I held off for years on my right toe nail until 10 years ago when I had the same procedure done on it too. Happily no more ingrown toe nails for me.

Ok, I am not sure how old you are but my son dealt with this for long time when he was about 14 - 16 years old. One toe, the big toe. I had him to the doctors all the time for antibiotics for infections. Kids at school would purposefully jump on his shoe, and he would never tell me who because he knew I would make a scene at the school .. :) but, doctor suggested removal of the toenail. My son did not want that. So he kept dealing the the gross thing, and now.. it doesn't get infected anymore, and he doesnt have a bad problem with it anymore.. and he is 19... but if I were him or you, I would have just had the toenail removed.

i have ingrowns, too. go to wallgreens and ask for some ingrown toe nail medication, over the counter. forgot its name. also buy a pair of special toe nail clippers, they are like a tiny pair of sissors. the medication toughens the infected area and the clippers can reach into wound to clip the nail spur that's causing it. IT WILL HURT. then learn to keep your nails trimmed

the v thing doesnt work because nails only grow straight. you should probably go to a doctor. They give you drugs and you wont feel a thing when they cut it out. You will be glad afterwards

there isnt really anything you can do other than go to a podiatrist and get them removed ive had it done, years ago, and yea it can be uncomfortable to have it done but you have to ask yourself, a lil pain now and gone forever or a lifetime of this happening

cut a v in the centre of your nail and when it grows it will have a little room to expand.
