It means your mother's genes were more dominant, or your father had hidden "irish" genes. You're half Irish, half German. But really you're whatever nationality you have a passport in.

My dads Irish and my mom is dutch. I look more like my dad but have more dutch in me than Irish.

well, technically you are more irish cause your mom's the one that has you inside her for 9 months, so you're bound to get more DNA and genes from her. of course i could be completely wrong.

Ditto - it just means you look more like your Mom. My mom is asian and my dad is caucasian, I look more asian and my brother looks more white, but we're still full-blood brother and sister!
