A cult is a group that tells you were chosen, and they don't let you question their rules and regulations.
The 2 cults were TM- 1980-Controlled you by meditating.
and Mahakari -Temple-2003 both in NYC 27 ST Madison Ave.

People who are in cults don't realize it at the time because they have been deceived. So glad you got out.
That's kinda like asking an alcoholic if he has a drinking problem. They will always deny it because they don't realize. However, there are alot of people fortunate enough to get out and be able to then tell their story of how horrible cults are.

Any beleiver in religion on this site is a member of a cult. Look at Christianity - it tells you to blindly obey, do not question, simply have faith, and if you dont, youre doomed.....

Hey, thats a cult of TERRORISM!

It appears there are a lot of free thinkers lingering in this reliqion area. Maybe we are trying to destroy the cult that every religion is. Good luck to us all.

if somebody was in a cult, would they be willing to accept that they are in one? or rather, would the cult be willing to allow members to know they were in a cult.

surely asking: "who isn't in a cult?" would be better...

sounds just like every mainstream religion out there....but of course they were all cults until they got enough members to get tax exempt status.

Glad you got out.

no but thought of how many gods have been created
thought about making a graven image of a godess and our worship to her would be wild orgies
