For god's sake your 17 years old! You have got all your life ahead of you. If i were you i would be avoiding trying to have a serious boyfriend, experience life first.
By all means experience sex, casual relationships but don't try to find the man of your dreams at your age - it may work, but it may also stop you doing the things you want to do - travel, university, work in a different city etc.
Also and i know this sounds like an old fart talking, you will change so much in the next 5 years the chances that you will meet the perfect person and live happily ever after is slim - the guys you think are amazing now are likely to end up in dead end jobs.
First think what is important to you and then fit the men around that, men like a challenge - you may find your luck will turn from this approach alone.
I appreciate it is hard but you've got to remember that most men are idiots all the way through their 20's (and into their 30's) nevermind in their teens - if this guy really likes you, nothing would stop him.

My parents were strict too. Some guys got put off but some knew that i was decent so it didnt stop them. Sure its going to be a pain till you get to your twenties but you must understand you have lots of boys to get through in your life and dont get paranoid about this one and his comments
I used to get upset that boys wouldnt date mebcs i coulndt do the things other teens did or go to the places they went to. ....but as time goes by i realized i ended up in a better place bcs of it.
If your parents are strict just tell a guy when you get to know him, believe me if he really likes you he wont care. My first real boyfriend didnt care, he insisted on coming to the house to meet my parents and so did my first love. If they really like you they will put up with it

I am not a boy but darling think this and keep it in your mind, the guys who are scared away of your parents its because their intentions for you is not true!!! You're still young and someday you will thank your parents for protecting you from the man who will just lure your head and leave you crying, if the man is really interested and their intention for you is good, I don't think they have to be scared off of your parents. That boy who told you that doesn't have a good intention for you, so don't think of that ok.

That boy was pretty shallow or just too shy to say no. If he has ever fallen in love yet then he will know how stupid he was. I'd walk to hell and back for my girlfriend and have fought many many fights for her. If someone truly loves you then they would do anything to have you. Good luck ;)

I love seeing girls with strict parents, my last girl had a mafia style step dad who disapproved of me but thats what added to the excitement of going out with her, and its excitement that makes me live my dream

Yes if they went to the same school - Pairents don't want their children to grow up & have "SEX" - (Not that i'm saying you would - but they would think that) Just try to relax - not bother about it & date guys from other schools...
Have fun!!
