This is a popular question that I know every woman has thought of at least once: Why is it that when a girl breaks up with a guy, they take it so badly, like you've done them a public disjustice, but when a guy breaks up with a girl, he expects her to be okay with it and get over it in like two seconds and then be okay with it forever after that? Any opinions on this guys? Ladies?

Because men do not deal with emotions and rejection very well, it is just not in there nature. When they break up with you, they have already decided that they don't want you because of the way that you are, but when you break up with them they are faced with "what did I do" This forces them to think about what they did or did not do and they can not handle that. That is why a lot of men accuse you of having someone else. it is easier to justify what you did then face up to what they did

You're right. It's been asked a lot. The truth is, many guys get hurt the same way. It's not always the guy breaking up with the girl. It hurts us too.

Same reason you feel that a guy should be ok with it when you break up with him.......they're only considering themselves (as you apparently are)..........Most people, NOT EVERYONE-BUT MOST, are very self-centered and think they can do no wrong and expect to have everything handed to them on a silver platter and get upset when it doesn't happen......

Not always true. I dated a girl for over a year, she broke up with me, and 2 weeks later, was with someone else. They were together for 2.5 years, and recently broke up. I know this because we're still great friends.

The sex of the person doesn't matter.......the person doing the breaking up is usually going to be fine because it was their idea. The person being dumped is usually going to be upset because it wasn't their idea. It's really very simple.

This is not always true. My brother was very sick for a long time after being dumped. I think it depends on the person's personality.

because a lot of men are self centered... and egotistical.. so that is why it is so unbelieveable when they are dumped. that is also the reason they expect you to move on..so they can target another victim. not all men.. but quite a number

THE PERSON GETTING DUMPED BY MAN OR WOMAN USUALLY TAKES IT BADLY AND THE ONE DOING THE DUMPING USUALLY DOESNT REALLY CARE.
