I was laying in bed last night trying to get to sleep, and my German Sheperd was whining and trying to get out of the bedroom. I was really tired, so i told him to shut up and I went to sleep. I woke up a few minutes later, just as he was finishing bending a fresh biscuit on my chest. Then he took a couple of steps and "spun out" with his back legs, like he was trying to bury it, and he scratched my noony with his toenails. I went back to sleep and cleaned it up in the morning. What can I do to keep him from doing this again? I don't want to beat him or rub his nose in it.

If you rub his nose in it, though, it'll teach him a lesson, PLUS, turds are good for your skin.

Clean your noony with turpentine, though, so that it doesn't get infected. :)

Beat him and rub his nose in it. Just slap him with your open hand or a rolled up newspaper so it doesn't actually injure him.

And you have to show him where he goes potty and give him treats when he does it right.

Spanking really does work better than anything else with animals, just don't actually hurt him. And it is better if you do rub his noese in it, or he won't know why you are spanking him. If he doesn't know why, he will just think you are mean.

My cat peed in the living room, and the 2nd time he did it, I slapped him up and down, then rolled him in his pee and stuck him in a cardboard box for an hour. He never did it again, and he won't even go near that spot anymore. Cat pee smells way worse than dog pee.

It's pretty gross that you waited until morning to clean it up.

But you know what, don't beat him this time, because it is probably your fault. Next time when he whines, let him go out.

Obviously the dog wanted to go outside to "bend a biscuit", if you don't really want to take care of the dog, you should give it to someone who will. I can only IMAGINE what your house looks like, much less how you look, leaving the biscuit on your chest until the morning to clean it up. Why didn't you just eat it?

Here are several reasons: 1. You made it mad for you not taking it out 2. Your a "s h i t y" person 3. B/c you wouldn't clean the cats litter box out so they have been s h i t t i n g on you to and the dog thought that it was ok for him to do it to. One of the three-you know the dog better than us though.

Since most smart breed dogs usually prefer to limit their pooping to a general area, I'm assuming he's bent a biscuit on your chest before (or at least your bed). Apparently you don't find it digusting enough to clean it up till morning, so what's the fuss?

Just a guess----please, this is not meant to offend----but an animal will do that when he has not been walked and "pottied" in a long time. Also, dogs of any size who can't find a place on the floor to potty will do so out of complete frustration on beds. You obviously just happened to be on the bed at the time.

Your dog needs to be walked more often. He has to potty. If you make him wait too long, he could become very sick. Please walk your dog!!!

First of all, GROSS, you slept with crap on you all night?! Your dog was trying to tell you he needed to go outside and take a dump, when you ignored him - he punished you by crapping on you! You are right though, punishing him that way will not teach him anything. You have to catch a dog "in the act" and enforce punishment at that point, by saying "NO!" or "BAD DOG!" So that the dog knows that what he is doing at that point is wrong in his master's eyes. Next time, listen to him when he tells you he needs to go!

First of all that is gross, you should have cleaned it up right away. Dogs try to communicate with you. the dog wanted out so he could do his bussnes in the yard but you didnt let him so he got mad and knew you wouldnt like it. Dogs are smarter than you think. If you dont belive me look it up!

You slept with dog crap on your chest all night? How disgusting. It amazes me what people we have in this world. He probably did it because he knew you wouldnt give a crap if he gave you a crap! Next time take him out when he cries, but I have a feeling you might have secretly enjoyed it so you probably wont.

The clue phone is ringing. You're a marvelous example of an irresponsible pet owner. You were too lazy to let the dog out and he let you know it in the most expressive way possible. I suggest you let the dog train YOU in how to take care of a pet.

that is crazy. When he was whinning he was trying to tell u something, maybe he had to use the bathroom. So next time let him out, thats the responsibility of having a pet, or dont let him sleep in your room.
