its probably just temp. becuase when my cat is all "hyper" he will chase my feat and try to bite everything possible (4 months old)
you could try putting him in a room, with the door slightly open, so if he wanted, he could get himself out
thats what i do to my cat when i vacuum (he is afraid of it)
Or, you could put him in a differnt part of your house, and distract him with like a string er something, and then sneak away, and do what ever it is that you want to do :)
good luck
oh, and im sure, it wont continue on for a long time

Kittens go through this when they're in a new environment. My cat did the same thing. She doesn't like closed doors and if there's activity about she would like to be in the middle of it. Even though kittens ears are tremendously sensitive, if you leave some kind of noise on and leave them in a room they will tone down the meowing. Also play with your kitten for about ten minutes by letting him run around the house. When you see him laying down or sitting still then that should be the time when you can break away and do your thing because your kitten is trying to recooperate from all that running.
Also as far as his bed is concerned, right now it's hot and your kitten won't lay in there. If you can sacrifice a item with your scent on it and find out where your kitten's favorite spot to lay out at and place it there, it will give your kitten some comfort and you won't have to worry about him getting into your things when you don't want him to be.

That sounds adorable. When he is no longer a kitten, he probably won't do these things. As for the shower, let him come in and get wet--that will only happen once. Mine would lay on my chest in the bathtub as a kitten but eventually he realized he didn't like the water.
You might consider a second kitten to give him company when you are gone. My male became a much nicer cat when we got him a younger sister as a playmate.

ehhh bad situation there lol.... he looks to you as his Mother apparently...thats what kittens do with their cat parents...same as a human baby does with their Parent that they spend most time with.... theres no way to stop this either...its instincts of the kitten...best thing would be to check your bag each day before school and trick him before going to take a shower....like lay on the bed and wait till he starts to sleep..and rush into the bathroom and put something heavy againt the edge of the opening part of the door..so he cant get in IF there is a lock probably i mean........ the kitten will soon learn he isnt welcomed to go everywhere with you...kittens grow smarter everyday... :) i know so i have 4 kittens and 2 adult cats :)

You're his Mommy! Cats are social creatures. They like to be where the action is. Right now, my two cats and my dog are curled up, sleeping around my computer chair. Just make sure he is in your house when you leave. He will be fine on his own and will greet you with a meow and a leg rub when you come home.

Yeah, I got a 10-week old kitten too and he does the same thing. I think they're just being attention sucks at that age. He actually woke me up this morning by jumping on top of me a la Garfield. I think we should enjoy the time that they actually want us around because when they get older, they won't even care. God, I sound like an old parent...

He will grow out of it as he gets older. The kitten is still pretty young and has probably imprinted on you as a sort of suragate mother. An affectionate kitten will grow up to be the best kind of cat. Just be patient.
Being a pet owner is a responsibility.

Your kitten LOVES you.
Let the kitten stay in the bathroom while you shower.
Check your bag before leaving the house.
I always check and see where my cat is everytime I leave the house before I go out the door...once she got closed into a dresser drawer while we were getting ready...poor kitty.

After almost two years, my male cat follows me everywhere. If he isn't following me, he is stalking me.
If I don't see him for a while I'll yell "Tuk Tuk come here!" or "Where is my shadow" and he will come to see me. It is very bad when he is too quiet.
And yes, he comes in while I shower. He loves to go to the groomers. (he loves rides in the car) And he sleeps on top of me at night. I just let him do what he wants, except go outside. He has a fear of the outdoors and I hope it stays.

wow alot of funny and cute stories. don't worry my cat does the same thing. you can either let him come in the shower with you or just make sure to distract him before going and ignore his little meows. he'll get the hint.
but its great that he follows you around and just wants to be where you are. very touching and entertaining.
you could also consider getting another cat..but i didn't. he'll learn your not around all the time. and get used to it. make sure to check your bag before leaving, and when you shower. you'll learn tricks on how to keep him out that works for your cat.
it depends on my mood really, if i need ot study i keep my cat out. and if i don't care, i open the door for her to come in. cats mostly want to know what's going on behind closed doors, their curiosity is annoying but cute. plus when she finds out i'm not interacting with her she either leaves me alone or demands to be let out. problem takes care of itself.
