them exactly what they want and are in fact losing your own argument?

This question was motivated by my other question.See:

You see, when someone says something about your religion that might be offensive they are doing it for two reasons.
1.They don't believe in your religion
and/or
2.They want to get you angry and see what kind of garbage you might spout at them.

So, in effect, you're giving them exactly what they want.If you believe in your religion you don't need their approval and you don't need their validation and you shouldn't care what they have to say, right?

You could say anything about me or my family or my beliefs in an insulting way.Instead of becoming angry I would just laugh at your ignorance and leave it at that.I wouldn't respond negatively or report it or anything like that.I might tell you the truth. But I wouldn't get upset or offended.

I agree totally. In fact, Christians (i dunno about muslims) are taught to not get offended in the bible. So why would you? It's just going to end up coming back against you. So christians, remmebr t not to take offence, forgive everyone, and as they persecuted jesus, they will persecute you.

yes, and no

I agree that those are the reasons for which people usually speak bad about religions. The reason I would respond, is to clear up the confusion in the speakers mind so they can give it a fair chance.
I agree that getting upset solves nothing!!!

I agree. We are to turn the other cheek. But at times we also need to make sure that the truth is spoken in love, so edification and rebuke is necessary. Thank you for accountability reminder.

I really don't care much about the hatred misinformation posted about Islam. Usually ignore it because this hatred is coming from uneducated illeterates ignorants.
