I am not sure what you are asking.
Generally, portraits were made of the wealthy for the wealthy. Jesus was a homeless guy. Do you know many homeless guys who have spiffy oil paintings of themselves?

In the same sense that there are not many paintings of other people that lived within Christ time. Christ was considered by many a criminal and by others just an ordinary religious man. Others considered Him a heretic but certainly not a political leader or ruling King or Pharaoh. Christ recruited a select group of apostles and disciples from which to build his Church to take the message of God to the world but none of them was an artist as the important substance was not what Christ or anyone looked like but rather the message He came to deliver. Belief in Christ message came through years of testimony after His assention from this physical world and no one thought at that time that this was a man who warranted a painting. Even if there had been a painting there was so years and times of anti-christian thought that any painting that would exist would have surely been destroyed. If the shroud of Turin is indeed legit and was the death shroud of Christ before he arose from the dead then that miracle burned the closest image of Christ and his size, shape, and facial features that we could possible find.

The same reason there are no writings from Jesus. The same reason that there are no artifacts from his years as a carpenter. The same reason that the new testament only accounts for 3 weeks in the life of Jesus (not counting the supposed 40 days in the 'wilderness'). Because he never existed. The entire Jesus story is fictional... a fabrication.

I like Del Parson's portraits of Jesus Christ. There is one which has official approval from the 12 Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I believe that all of them have had a personal witness of what Jesus Christ looks like. There is a link below that shows some of his other work. Greg Olsen is another popular artist.
Also, remember back in the time of Jesus Christ's mortal life on earth, Jewish artists mainly adhered to symbolic art. They had had too many centuries of seeing idol worship and graven images to want to even risk creating anything that might be construed as an idol.

well, some people believe that the image of Jesus, which has been recorded as the earliest and most repeated image, of him with long hear, beard, big owl eyes, and two strands of hair over his face (like the one on the alleged "shroud of turin") is probably the closest. but since nobody drew a picture of him while he was alive, nobody know what he really looks like for sure.

Um, why would you think that it would make sense for him to have had a painting done? He was a poor travelling man who went around preaching from town to town. How many painters would he have even come in contact with and since he was seen as just another Rabbi, why would people have even thought to paint him?

Do we have actual paintings of anyone from that time? Plus, not everyone actually believed who he was. I also don't think God would want us "worshiping " a picture or painting.
Those of use who are believers will get to see him for ourselves someday! Isn't that something to look forward to!?!

Because then most people would worship the image rather than the creator.
