Paul says the gospel is the Death Burial and Resurrection and that the Messiah did this according to the scriptures. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are accounts of the Messiah in his 3 1/2 year ministry and was not even written when the Messiah walked the Earth plain. Moses killed an Egyptian (Death) buried him in the sand (Burial) and had to flee when the thing was found out (Resurrection). The end of all flesh had come upon men (Death), the Earth was completly covered by water (Burial) and after a year and 10 days Noah and his family came out of the Ark (Resurrection). Daniel was cast in the Lion's Den (Death) he was in the Lion's Den with the Den covered over (Burial) and he was loosed the next day (Resurrection). Jonah was told to go preach to Ninaveh which was a wicked nation (Death) he went in the opposite direction and was swallowed up by a specially prepared fish (Burial) and the fish spit him out on dry land after 3 days and nights (Resurrection).
I'm giving these examples to show you that the death burial and resurrection is indeed throughout the Bible and is the true gospel because it is all pointing up to the Messiah.

Try the gospel of John 19th chapter for the death and burial, and the resurrection the 20th chapter. Hope it helps.
